It seems common knowledge now but they are selling rejected cars. Mine had so many issues when it went back to lotus in February. It was listed by Auto100 in August, disappeared for quite a while then listed again by them in November when it sold. I guess so long as you know what you’re getting...
I think this review is one of the most accurate I've seen, the pros and the cons are spot on and mirror my 11 month ownership experience. Its a shame the car broke when they were doing the 0-60 tests but you can definitely tell they were frustrated that the gearbox and rpm limit were hampering...
The dealer opened the gearbox and checked the selectors which were ok, that's as far as they could reasonably go. A new gearbox from Lotus was required under warranty, I was told the factory strip the gearboxes and fit Lotus parts before they go in the cars. Its a huge job to replace and my car...

Hi, yes car in neutral with engine running, you hear the clunk when you release the clutch. Its been to the dealer and they checked fluids etc. I'm just interested to know if its just me, TADTS or signs of a problem to come.
Just a question to see if anyone else has clutch clunk on their Emira.
When the car is switched off and the clutch pedal is operated everything is fine. If you fire it up, car in neutral and operate the clutch pedal normally there is a noticeable clunk from the rear. Even using the clutch...
