Worth saying that any V6 FE orders not locked in by the end of tomorrow won't get a V6 FE. Hopefully get an idea of how many have paid the extra deposit at some point soon.
Total guess on my part but I think residuals will be strong for the following reasons:
- Demand massively outstripping supply, many deposit holders won't get their car until 2023
- General consensus is the car looks great value offering super car looks and handling for the price of a new M3
-...
Thanks Tom. Hadn't realised that. Might have to reconsider my decision to go with the privacy glass. That said presumably it's just a film so can be removed later if wanted.
So over on Pistonheads someone said that speccing privacy glass will mean you can't see the engine through the rear hatch. Is that right? I assumed it just meant the side windows were tinted, not the glass covering the engine bay itself.
So the deadline in the UK for customers wanting a FE V6 is Friday.
I finalised my spec earlier this week and paid the extra £3k, but is anyone still sitting on the fence?
Be interested to know how many of the initial £2k deposits have made it through to round 2. Kind of like a weird car buying...
Thanks Tom. Would still like to see some real images of the wheels though. We've had colour samples for interior and exterior, wouldn't think it would be that hard to get hold of a couple of wheels for the roadshow
Like lots on here I'm still struggling to finalise my spec.
One area I'm torn on is wheels. I love the design of the diamond cut wheels but cautious about how they will stand up to regular use as they are a pain to refurb.
What I'd really like to see is some good quality images of the forged...
Really good video. Interesting he is going for the sport suspension, doesn't sound like it will be overly firm.
Although I'm not a fan of the spec he went for, silver with silver wheels. A bit boring IMO.
Just to throw in my 2p on the Supra comment.
The Emira V6 is a tried and tested lump already use in other Lotuses. I doubt they will launch and then suddenly re engineer the whole engine after 6 months, they surely already have squeezed out as much as they safely can in the Exige/Evora.
Just playing with configurator. I was dead set on a black roof but am starting to think it looks much cleaner with a red roof. You still get the black around the engine.
