Upon further review, it was in fact $2350..... I wish I could call it a typo, but my eyes are getting older even though I am not. In my defense, small font on the Monroney.
Good Catch!
Having picked up at Glenview yesterday (and being an accountant) I closely looked at the details.... a few notes:
1) Destination was $2,850 (but that is on the window sticker, so don't think it should vary by dealer)
2) The "Doc Fee" was $358 (as a point of comparison, I bought a car from a...
I picked up my FE2.0 in Illinois today...... I only have driven it about 5 miles so far, so no real report. I took my 12 year old for a short ride, and he likes the looks of the Emira over my 718 GTS 4.0, but likes the sound of the 718 better. I'm excited to have picked it up. Really love...
My FE 2.0 arrived at dealer yesterday, so I went to see it last night. I went by to see it. Looks like they got my spec correct including privacy glass delete.
I spoke with the GM for 15 minutes, was pretty transparent. 30 cars received thus far, mix of 1.0 and 2.0 (has not received all...
That number makes sense... especially if you have an FE 1.0, about the spread of 1.0 to 2.0.
My neighbor received an allocation for a Ford GT several years ago. I believe on those Ford drove the form and substance of a buyers agreement, and that had a 2 year sale prohibition. Likewise...
I paid MSRP..... that said, when I first engaged them to try to spec 718 GTS 4.0 the dealer was asking for $10K ADM, which was also the amount of the non-refundable deposit. They said all GTS & GT cars are being sold at ADM, and that base cars at MSRP, but base were "pre-configured" with $2k...
Did Naples share this with you as part of the deposit paperwork?
I understand why dealers do this, my issue with the Porsche dealer was that they did not disclose this at the time of the original negotiation and placement of a non-refundable deposit. The Porsche dealer (and also my Lotus...
I do question the enforceability.... but of course it has a section that claims damages would be difficult to specifically quantify (they claim selling within a year harms the entire Porsche market).... so for avoidance of doubt I would owe them $100K. It also has a mandatory arbitration...
Last week I got an email from my sales guy indicating that my FE 2.0 is on the boat, and expected in the US before the end of the month. The note indicated that they expect certification process to be complete by end of January, and deliveries to start promptly.
The weather in the midwest...
Interesting..... I went to Hagerty and obtained a quote for my inbound Emira w/ $1K deductible full coverage, and it was $1673 per year. I stated that it was stock and had value of $100K. As a comparison, my 2024 718 GTS, with same value and deductible is $2059 per year. I have 3 other...
I realize this was being asked in the context of Naples..... but yesterday I was at Lotus of Glenview (Chicago...) and they had both a Vivid Red and a Magma Red, I only snapped a photo of the Vivid (V2.0), but they definitely had both.
I did not specifically ask how many 2.0s they have...
I stopped by my local dealer (Glenview) - they received 4 cars this morning. All are green in color. I looked over one of them... as reported, you can see the shifter. Likewise, it has 2 parking sensors in the front.
Interestingly, it had a yellow sticker in the center of the windshield...
