Hi, I have had a problem with this the car has been with my dealer for 3 weeks, Lotus cocked up sending the parts, apparently the steering wheel airbag is faulty causing the problem. I am told the part should arrive Monday and hopefully I will get the car Tuesday, who is your dealer?
In general boats, even using polyester resins do not suffer from this sort of thing, yes osmosis was a problem but that now seems more under control. Bad process/design is probably to blame for these problems, not materials.

What a load of rubbish, it is costing Lotus lots of money dealing with this, it is mismanagement which is the problem, they need to fix the problems not keep making temporary fixes for ever and a day. I do not know what profit there is in an Emira but they certainly cannot have made a profit on...
