I can change the language but I would like to change my assistant voice to female if possible. Is there an option somewhere?

It's much easier to use the voice function if you change to the non-haptic steering wheel buttons. I would not use it at all before making the change. I used it to turn on the heated seats. Easier than finding it in the center display. I'll use it for more things going forward now that its easier to access. What do you use it for?
To access voice control for CarPlay just long press the voice assistant button - it then defaults to CarPlay and Siri, and will use whatever voice is designated on your iPhone (which you can change) and you can use voice commands for Nav, music, calls, voice texting etc.. I can even run commands inside apps, for example switching channels in the SiriusXM app by saying "Tune to Ozzy's Boneyard", and it will say "Now playing Ozzy's Boneyard" and switch the channel.I have found voice assistant to be useless, as it does not recognize car play, only Bluetooth. When I get in, the car automatically connects to car play and if I use the microphone assistant, it simply says ‘Bluetooth device not recognized’.
If I tell the car to only pair on Bluetooth, it works, but then I lose all the CarPlay functionality.
If you have an IPHONE, go to Siri settings and you can select from many voices which will then sound out thru Car Play in your EmiraI can change the language but I would like to change my assistant voice to female if possible. Is there an option somewhere?
I use it to initiate voice calls and navigation.
Same applies to Android Auto, for those without AppleYes, it appears there are two microphone interfaces. A short press on the mic button gets you the embedded car assistant. However this is a dumb interface that only looks to a bluetooth device, so if your phone is connected via CarPlay, it does not see the phone and just tells you there is no bluetooth device connected. A long push on the mic button, and the mic connects to Siri on your phone, which does detect the CarPlay device and interfaces properly.
