    Spacers anybody?

Again if you've had this conversation a million times can somebody please send the link. Thanks. So. Spacers. Some love'em - some hate'em. What's the general consensus here? Anybody have them on? What size did you go for? Like the look? Notice any changes in handling? What do the...

    10mm hubcentric spacers

So I know people didn't think it was possible for hubcentric spacers at 10mm. But here is proof. Got these from crestima (thanks again). Putting them on Saturday. I just think 12mm sticks out just a hair too much on the front so I wanted 10mm. I might buy the 12mm for the rear of it bothers...

How low to go with GRP lowering kit and spacers

Hi All -- I just received my lowering kit and 12MM spacers from GRP. Does anyone have feedback to offer on their setup with these parts? Specifically, how low did you go and any rubbing or other issues with scraping, etc.?

    Steering wheel spacer

Not sure if you count this as a mod or not, but could not think of another forum that was appropriate Being 6' 4", I have the seat set pretty far back and the steering wheel set as close to me as the electronic adjustment allows, yet it could still do with being closer Does anyone know of a...

12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

Looking for advice regards wheel spacers on a standard emira (12mm spacers). Rear wheels look ok, just about flush, if I had the option, would probably push them in maybe 2mm, but not bad IMO. The fronts however do seem to be poking out a little much for my taste. I think a 6mm spacer on the...

GRP Hub Centric 12mm Wheel Spacers - Silver

Well I should of checked but where I live non OEM spacers are illegal and insurance wont cover either. So off they come. These really give the stance the car needs and look great. Would leave them on if I could. Open o reasonable offers. Located in Australia. Happy to ship globally at buyers...

Does anyone have @GRP 10mm spacers? Do you experience any vibration? I'm concerned about them not having a lip.

Hi, Was it essential to go with longer studs to fit the 12mm spacer?

Free Lowering with factory setting VS. GRP lowering kit

Porter is definitely not wrong. Surface prep and torque procedure is everything here, it applies to wheels and spacers. Adding spacers adds more prep work during the installation.

Free Lowering with factory setting VS. GRP lowering kit

Probably 90%+ of us are using 10mm or 12mm spacers made by either PCD Parts or GRP. They’re all going to be CNCd 6082 T6, hub centric, and slip on. Two members I think are running 15mm spacers with the same qualities/features in the rear. A few members are maybe still on smaller 6-8mm spacers...

Free Lowering with factory setting VS. GRP lowering kit

Of course proper wheel installation, proper road force balance and torque applications are important but I would assume that's a given. Spacer manufacturing including material used, machine process, hubcentricity, slip-on vs bolt, install prep of said spacer have just as much impact on what...

10mm Spacers.. My thoughts on my 10mm all around with pics

So I researched like everyone here all about spacers.. What size, how far do the tires stick out, etc, etc.. Well I found for ME, the 10mm for the front was perfect.. I think 12mm for the rear would be ideal as 10mm in the rear is just not enough (yea I know 2mm isn't a big deal, but I can tell...

Help with offset and colour choice on Aerie V2 Wheels

...I’m trying to decide what offset to go with on a set of Aerie V2 rims. That’s my favourite style they offer I think. Currently running 12mm spacers all round. Standard spec is: Front: 8.5x20 ET 57 (ET45 with Spacers) Rear: 10.5x20 ET 54 (ET42 with spacers) The current setup (12mm spacers...

Free Lowering with factory setting VS. GRP lowering kit

You don't need hubcentric spacers to have a vibration-free install, if you use correct wheel-centering technique as you install the wheels.

    Spacers anybody?

Thank you for that. As an engineer, I totally get your explanation. I would have thought any manufacturer making plain spacers with no concentric location would have gone out of business. Stands to reason that a concentric location would be a must to make the product properly functional. And of...

...to a single axis of movement: sliding the wheel on and off. This restriction helps with any imbalances that induce wheel shake. Wheel spacers themselves can fit on the hub lip and be the same ID as the hub lip OD, but that doesn’t mean the spacer preserves the hubcentric lip to the wheel...

    Spacers anybody?

We have 12mm spacers in stock! We also keep the extended bolts or stud kits in stock to accommodate the spacers install. Silver or black to match your wheels. https://www.gregsraceparts.com/collections/emira-wheels-accessories/products/new-grp-12mm-wheel-spacers-for-lotus-emira

    10mm hubcentric spacers

You may already know all this or have your own preferred technique, but when installing spacers, I also suggest making sure the 5 threaded bolt holes on the hub are properly aligned/centered with the corresponding spacer holes. Since spacer holes are generally larger than the diameter of the...

    Stock Emira Wheels and Tires

I could see v6 wheels on i4 body being popular, no spacer solution and likely more concave face.

    Spacers anybody?

...on the Emira, but much less than that is challenging as the material would be getting thin. I run 12mm all round, but I’ve heard of 10mm hubscentric spacers being available. So, there is a range of spacer thickness where it’s too thick for a shim, but not thick enough for a hubscentric spacer.

12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

This thread is typically talking about 10mm spacers on each side increasing the total track width by 20mm front and rear. Komo's spacers are half of this and not necessarily how the rest of the industry talks about spacers. Additionally I don't think the Komotec spacers pictured are the actual...

That perfectly describes the situation for the Emira and honestly with a lot of other cars too. The Emira hub lip is 12.5mm long.

    10mm hubcentric spacers

Make sure that your hub, hub lip, spacer and all surfaces, as well as your wheel bore are all clean and free of any dirt/corrosion/etc. You really shouldn’t be getting any vibration from hub centric spacers if all of those surfaces are clean. If you are, it might be something else like your wheels.

Is anyone running 19" track wheels?

I checked that size; very few tires are available, it's pointless, and wide tires have downsides too. Spacers put more stress on wheel bearings, which you don't want.

12mm spacers, seems a bit much on front

When talking about 10mm spacers, does that mean that each wheel is offset by 10mm, or is that for the front axle? I want to buy these Komo-Tec spacers (https://www.komo-tec.com/en/Lotus-Emira/V6/Wheels-tires/1016/Wheel-spacers-set-for-Emira-V6-10/10mm) and I am confused if they are a 10mm spacer...

Do you plan on carrying aftermarket titanium lug nuts with floating seats like OEM does with the lug bolts? That’s the only thing holding me back from your 12mm spacers; I want titanium studs/nuts but also want floating seat lug nuts.

Stock Rotor Replacement for Lotus Emira

Yes, the front oversized kit includes a spacer kit for a "seamless" replacement/upgrade. The spacer kit is fine-tuned so the brake pad can now "perfectly align" with the larger rotor edge (fit better than stock setup.)

Ah spacers would be an easy solution. Longer bolts would be needed I assume.

    10mm hubcentric spacers

I use a soft wire brush on the wheel hub/rotor/lip, and then I scrub the inner wheel bore and spacer with a sponge, nothing abrasive there.
