That looks like an epic 8 minutes of fun. It is also quite a respectable time with having to pass other cars and with the added passenger weight. I'd bet it could hit well under 8 minutes without those factors which puts it up there in some fairly elite company in terms of Nurburgring records!
This is a valid argument.
Does anyone have estimated delivery numbers in the UK and elsewhere to-date of the Emira? Just to throw out some ballpark/wild guess numbers, If they are producing ~20 cars per day for the last ~6 months, that's around 3,600 Emiras produced.
Now Let's just say...
I agree, stories like this are truly worrisome but I do have to wonder how representative they are of the total percentage of owners out there since it's well known that happy buyers generally do not take the time to report their experiences nearly as much as those who are disappointed or...
I think what @Porter is saying is that buying a real estate property (even a primary residence) is arguably a valid investment if it appreciates in value over time (which they tend to do, especially as of late). The fact that OTHER houses are also appreciating doesn't eliminate the added value...
I really like the Atlantis -- so much more depth than Seneca IMO and I might have gone with it over the Nimbus but unfortunately that ship has sailed. Look forward to seeing some photos of a finished car in that color, though!
@shaank just FYI your instagram links have a typo in them and throw TLS warnings since the TLS certificate is issued to facebook.com before the redirect happens to instagram.com ;)
Good to know and thanks for the clarifications. I'm not familiar with the UK-based costs but that makes sense. Stiil, a roughly 5% loss on reselling a new car is minimal in normal terms. I don't see any reason for the panicky sentiment.
The idea of buying a new car and flipping it for...
Thank you, I stand corrected! £81,995 is the post-price increase for the V6. I don't know what the previous price was but it still does not appear that it would be far off from the £75,500 number which is still the lowest on Autotrader.
I think the bottom line is that Emira demand in the UK...
I don't get why this keeps getting repeated in this forum. The lowest price on UK Autotrader that I find is £75,500 which I believe is several thousand above original MSRP and about 2K below the updated/increase pricing of £77,795. To me, the pricing makes sense and nobody is losing their...
You can order these on EBay (1:34, 5" long) for $22.98 + $5 S/H for a set of four. That's what I did after going to a couple CVS stores without luck. I let my 18 month old daughter play with them every now and then...if you pull them back on the ground they zip forward. Not sure about the...
Appearance being subjective, I'm SO THANKFUL they did NOT do the tail light like this. I can't stand cars with long, full length rear LEDs like this. To each his/her own, however.
Welcome to northern drivers :) New York drivers (and New Englanders in general) are generally considered by many to have more aggressive driving habits that outsiders might view as rude. It's quite a bit different down here in the South although the big trucks are still everywhere. If that...
Great Review! You actually got me for a split second on the top part :) I think I drove that exact demo car down here in NC about 3 months ago as it looks identical and I think there are only about 5 of them rolling around. My test drive route wasn't the best but the car (to me) still got...
This is highly encouraging to watch. The straight line speed isn't anything to write home about but it shows you what this car can do in corners which makes it look insanely fun to drive on curves. Taking some of those curves at ~100mph in the Emira looks like an absolute blast and this driver...
That thing is sick! This was my first C&C but I definitely plan to try to go to them in the future. It was a blast and just exiting next to the 200+ people on the side of the road and revving it out to a bunch of people yelling "REV IT!" was actually super fun. It's going to be next-level...
Well the event was really awesome. At least a couple thousand amazing cars were there from just about everywhere on the planet. Countless Ferraris, McLarens, Porches, and yes, many Lotus Evoras, Elises, and Exiges! Here are a few photos I snapped (I was carrying my 16 month daughter around in...
