I've had the same issue. Outside temp 60 degrees F, windows up, temp control turned all the way down, and nothing but hot air coming through the vents. My AC works great, but shouldn't need it with 60 degree outside temp.
I don't, but suggest you call Matt. I don't think that they are used.
I bought my Emira from him and he's a great guy to deal with and can ship out of state if necessary. I believe he already shipped one to Washington state because the person wasn't getting treated fairly by other dealers.
I just spoke with him and he said one of them is on the water, one was being delivered tomorrow, and the rest he has. Perhaps it was the automatic that was on the boat. I would give him a call if it's of interest to you and he can fill you in on the details and a complete list of the specs.
For anyone looking for a new Emira, Lotus of Western New York, has (5) for sale.
1) Seneca Blue w/ Blk. interior, manual
2) Seneca Blue w/Red interior, manual
3) Mist White w/Blk. interior, manual
4) Hethal Yellow, Automatic
5) Dark Verdant w/ Tan interior, manual
All are for sale for MRSP...
So there isn't any outside air vent at all in the Emira? If so, that would explain the situation I'm experiencing. I don't think I've ever owned a vehicle that didn't.
I've noticed that the air coming through the vents, with air temp at lowest setting and AC off, is MUCH warmer than the outside temp. I prefer the performance without AC and should be able to when the outside temp is in the low 60's using just vents, but can't because it's unbearable.
I considered them......at least temporarily until something becomes available, but the couple I looked at, you have to trim on predetermined section lines and they really didn't look like they would fit very well. Maybe better than nothing though. My Lotus mats are already looking poorly after...
I also did, and no response.
Also contacted another company called 3D. No response from them either. Hard to believe that no one has interest in the Emira.
I bought something similar from CTA tools. I purchased an offset filler tube (#7472, $22.95) that is made of aluminum and has an adjustment to tilt and lock the funnel. Not sure if it would fit your kit, but hoping it will solve the interference with the glass issue. I'll be doing the 1k oil...
When I tried it, I used a creeper and was able to get underneath without too much problem. Getting all the bolts out and lowering the pan may be more challenging, but we'll see soon.
That's close to what I'm doing. I already had a Daytona 3 ton low profile jack, and purchased another to lift from the rear jack points simultaneously. I built 2x4 wheel cribs which will give me 10.5 inches under the tires. After lifting the rear, I have more clearance to access the front jack...
I recognized the lighthouse, and now Shumway marina across the river. Also saw your car on Hard road in Webster about a month ago. I'm sure we'll bump into each other sooner or later. Mine is also Magma. Yours looks fantastic!
Not sure where the wiring harnesses are made, but I know Toyota's had issues with mice because the wire insulation is soy based.....food for mice! A great deterrent is essential peppermint oil. It smells good, and mice hate it, but needs to be replenished monthly. Something to keep in mind for...
I built basically the same thing, except four, to keep the car level to drain the oil more completely. I had one floor jack and bought another to jack the car up evenly. I started with the rear because the rear jack points are more outboard and easier to get to. Once the cribs were under the...
I agree and will likely do something about it when doing the break in oil change. I may even fabricate new ones. I'll see how cooperative the metal is. I'm pretty you're right....10 years from now, a lot of them may be missing! If Lotus sold just the fin, it would be a 10 minute repair.
He's a small dealer and an excellent guy, but unfortunately, I assumed that he put it on a lift. It was apparently impacted in the front of the fin and bent to 90 degrees. It's held by 4 small rivets, which stayed intact, but bent the rest of the fin into a wavy "S" kind of shape. It's supposed...
Does anyone have any idea how important the aero fins on the engine undertray are for performance? Finally lifted my car and got underneath only to realize that one of them is damaged from hitting something. I'm confident that it wasn't me and likely happened during transportation. Before I...
