I was firmly in the i4 camp at launch (and my i4 deposit was placed on launch day) for many of the reasons given above. However, since driving both (also had an Evora S IPS before) I cancelled my i4 order in favour of an ex-dealer demo V6 auto when the UK i4's were delayed (again) in Q3 2023...
You CAN still order a UK V6 FE now (but via a dealer as the UK direct sales model now appears to be defunct - another recent UK configurator change) but the UK configurator states no more UK V6 DELIVERIES until 2026 at the end of the process...... However, as we all know with Lotus :
Phone tag function works just fine with this app : https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/lotus-vehicle-tracker/id1522877740 - Android equivalent may be available - tracker tag shouldn’t really be kept with key in any case (pun intended!) as it negates the benefit of having a tracker if tag is stolen...
https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/lotus-vehicle-tracker/id1522877740 It has its own Lotus Scorpion app that also lets iPhone replace the tag (which shouldn’t be kept with keys in any case) - there’s probably the same for Android but I don’t have an Android phone to check….
I leave the AC on all the time (which also keeps the compressor lubricated and prevents seals drying out, etc.) , set temperature, press “Auto” - it’s not just simple AC - it’s automatic climate control - and the system takes care of everything - including drying out the “dankness” here in the UK…..
In the UK the password was emailed to us - username is your email address - suggest you check with your dealer…..
Or you could try your email address and the “forgot password” option in case they’ve set you up and just not given you the details…..
This style of plates (registration number for illustration only!) are legal right across Europe apart from Spain and Malta who, for some bizarre reason, insist on the separate sticker. I suspect something around reverting to old rules post-Brexit that were never updated. I have a 5-digit number...
Having just been to Ypres Lotus day I can confirm that only about half the UK cars on Le Shuttle actually had said correct sticker/number plate designator…….. For the sake of a few quid why take the risk though……
Auto V6 doesn't exist (yet!) in the USA - still waiting for emission signoff. It's been available in UK and Europe for around a year now....
Cue someone coming along again to say "just get the manual" etc. blah blah..... :ROFLMAO:
Nothing needs to be (or can be) done regarding headlights - the LED beam pattern is flat enough. You do need a UK Sticker now (NOT GB any more) if not already part of your number plate and some other bits :

I've never noticed it as an issue in the UK - or do petrol (gas) pump handles follow the "everything's bigger in the USA" saying? :ROFLMAO:
Having said that we can't lock ours on dispense either - that's illegal here - we have to hold the handle down.....
This is standard on most European cars - if the doors are locked (whether from inside, outside or by autolock when moving [if set in options]) the first pull of the internal handle unlocks, second pull opens the door. The only exception is if there is a "deadlock" option on the remote...
https://www.lotuscars.com/en-GB/aftersales/fixed-price-service
All of this nonsense certainly makes the UK fixed price servicing look reasonable, even if the first service is just an oil and filter change, do any firmware updates outstanding and recalls necessary, update SatNav maps, a basic...
And all firmware updates, SatNav map update, and any rectifications/recalls outstanding (e.g. HVAC water shielding) - mines booked in for 1st annual service in July…..
First road trip into mainland Europe - Le Shuttle via the Channel Tunnel then into Belgium for Ypres Lotus Day 2024 to meet up with 145 other Lotus cars from all over Europe! https://ypreslotusday.be/
Or use something like mp3tag or even iTunes (if you must!) to add track numbers in the metadata - this may work if that's where the audio unit is looking…. This also allows album art embedding into individual song files which may speed things up…
My "local" music on iPhone is curated using this...
