It should be something with I4 Homologation, they are still sending I4 to China... but It is hard for me to beileve that the had less problems to homologate the V6 Auto and V6 Manual, than I4 Auto AMG. It has a consumption and emissions clearly lower, plus surely they could count on the help of...

Just out of curiosity. If you've been given a vin, does it have a car behind it? I really hope it's true, at least that means they're making something. The other option is that they won't start until summer at the earliest, and that in lotus language is more delays.

Has anyone had an honest answer as to the reason for the I4 delay? I just left the brand new dealership in Munich on odeonsplatz, and they didn't even know there were any delivery delays. 😅

I would also like to add that taking into account the history of disappointments... I'm more afraid of Lotus' news, than I am of my company's.

I don't want to spoil the party, but power, emissions restrictions and taxes are very different in China versus ROW. I have heard that in several EU countries you pay taxes according to power, you can't increase 10K the price over the buyer... In the end the engine is the same, it's the power...

I find hard to believe the they have more problems with I4 approval in UK and UE than v6. The first i4 prototype test cars had a year?

Just to get the general idea. My dealer commented that no I4 lotus will be delivered to any customer. Does anyone was told that i4 production line is stopped? Because they do not have lot of space for storage cars...

Also, if they would state the reasons and what they hope to improve.... I'm sure the vast majority of us would look forward for it

I Really do not know what to think about this... they were delivering many 400hp I4 to China. Can only imagine that: 1) I4 manufacturing prices has raise up so much that they try to reduce reservations with closed prices. 2) many cars have many warranty repairs making it less profitable...

You may be right. I was offered in July to trade my i4 for the v6, and I know those cars were delivered in time. To be on schedule my dealer must ask for full payment in two weeks. if he doesn't it's clear I won't get the car this year. I promise to update.
