By the way, Lotus Yokohama has this used Nimbus Grey V6 for sale with only 2000km, in case anyone is interested.
This color looks MUCH better in person. I think I like it more than my Seneca Blue. :)
I went to pick it up yesterday. Nothing was wrong. They had my car at the workshop for over a week running tests and didn't find any issues. The explanation they gave me was that probably some sensor detected something weird and put the engine in "safe mode" to prevent damage.
They cleared the...
@virtualmacho Personally I don't have a preference, but it's possible that I won't be driving alone.
If I go by myself then I'm fine with any of the rooms. However, if my girlfriend ends up joining then a shared room won't be ideal/
For now let's assume that I'm going by myself because that's...
No, it didn't go away. The first time this happened it was during normal city driving: I got an alert in the driver console saying "Engine Reduced Acceleration" and the CEL turned on. While stopped at a traffic light I stopped and started the engine and the alert and the CEL went away.
Then a...
I took my Emira to Lotus Yokohama for some maintenance (the "Check Engine" indicator keeps popping up) and saw that they have this white i4 in stock.
Personally, I think that it looks pretty nice compared to other random cars, but in my opinion the Seneca Blue looks much more interesting. :)
Same here. It happened again on my side too, and this time the "check engine" indicator came up and it stays up after stopping/starting the car, and it doesn't go away even a day after when the car has cooled down.
I called the dealer and they we have scheduled an appointment for next Monday...
This happened to me today and a Google search brought me to this thread.
I got the notification in the dashboard during normal city driving, and I had no idea what it meant. Then I saw the red zone in the rev counter all the way down to around 4k instead of the usual ~7k. The car was driving...
Damn, I missed this! I haven't been checking the forum and I was relying on email notifications (and I didn't get any). 😓
I'll read the thread tomorrow, since it's already a bit late today.
Then that's a very good deal. When I go to pick up my car this Tuesday I'll talk to Lotus Yokohama and see if they have the same deal or something similar.
In case this is useful to anyone, this is what I'm paying for my first maintenance + installation of the battery charger:
Is this (43万5千円)the price for each maintenance, or for the set of these 6 inspections?
If it's the price for each then it's expensive. If it's the price for all of them then it's a very reasonable price.
Your dealer is overcharging you.
My dealer (Lotus Yokohama) installed the ETC module for free because I "negotiated" down a couple things.
However, they did charge me for the drive recorder installation, and that's more complex than the ETC module because of the dual cameras and extra wires...
I just got confirmation from Lotus Yokohama that my car will be ready for pickup on Tuesday 18th, so I confirm that I will be attending wherever we go the 22nd or 23rd.
I've checked with artificial light in my parking spot, and also natural light during the day, both at home and in a number of other locations when I took the car camping last week. I haven't checked under infrared light, but if it can't be seen with the naked eye then I'm not very concerned...
Hi all,
Please help me understand this:
A couple weeks ago I went to Ebisu to meet a friend and I left the car in this public parking lot.
Two/three hours later I came back to the car I found it completely covered in bird shit. Note that the car doesn't have PPF or ceramic coating yet.
I...
Mine is at Lotus Yokohama for its free post-break-in inspection and its first oil change.
I took it to the dealer on June 6th and they told me it would take ~2 weeks to have it back, so I will probably have it back somewhere in October.
However, if a miracle happens and they stick to the...
One of the things I liked doing with my old Toyota hybrid was going on weekend camping trips, and I was a bit worried about how much gear I would be able to take with me in the Emira.
This weekend I went on my first multi-day camping trip in my V6, and it turns out that I didn't need to worry...
