No, it will not be allowed based on my experience. I've yet to purchase a single car where I was allowed to use a credit card past the deposit. I've always tried, but there were maximums. Would be awesome to get 2% cash back on a $100k+ purchase.
It's in all dealers' interest to get you to...
I'm also not familiar with this. Are you just describing how things have been or should be? Tesla doesn't follow the model you described. Also, MSRP is "suggested." Prior to the pandemic, how many of us walked into the dealer expecting to pay MSRP? Nowadays we all hope for MSRP :)
We don't even...
Given some of the posts I've read here and the fact that people are so litigious, I almost wonder if Lotus is dodging bullets? It's one thing to deal with people's assumptions and wishful thinking. It's a whole lot to put something in writing and deal with legal threats.
What most people don't...
Hostile? LOL! Anyway, let's get to the point..... I'm genuinely curious what Lotus has done wrong.
Were expectations based on promises made or wishful thoughts? If promises, which and by whom? To be clear, I'm looking for an official statement with a link.
Again, you're not explaining how...
The V6 block is capable of over 900hp. That's not the issue. It's the manual transmission that has the limitation of 450Nm (~330 ft-lbs of torque). Radford switches to a custom DCT to go around that problem. In theory we could do the same for ~$25k or so...
Now that would be terrible and in that case I agree with you.
In other-words, if the dealer told you that you're #7 in line, they have 15 allocations, but they somehow don't have one for you? That, I agree, is disingenuous. You'd have every right to be pissed off and I would expect Lotus to do...
Not to get technical, but 8-months ago was June 3rd. Anyone who put a deposit before the reveal is essentially assured a FE.
Lotus never promised anything when you put a deposit down. It was the dealer who promised you a place in line. So if you're #20 on the list and the dealer has 15-cars...
Lotus made no promise of delivering everyone an FE, they said they were going to deliver 500 to North America. Now it's 700.
That's life! Grow up! There are people who camp outside of Best Buy for a week to get the latest PlayStation (or what have you). You could also camp in the same line for...
The car is being delivered to the dealer, not to you. Once you understand that, the rest of the answers fall in line.
If you happen to move, make arrangements with the dealer to have it delivered for a fee (or pick it up yourself). Don't know how taxes work in Canada, but in the US you pay...
Lotus announced 1,500 V6 FE's world-wide and 500 headed to North America at launch. After the overwhelming reception they increased the total numbers to a little over 2,000 world-wide. 700 of these cars are headed to North America. This information was only provided to dealers and depending on...
@Eagle7 I have no idea where you're getting your information from, but it's wrong. I'm sorry I don't have the time right now to go line-by-line...
Just in general, reading this thread, it seems people are just speaking into an echo chamber. The information has already been announced, we just...
Same! Poll should be different. I won't trade a Tesla for any ICE daily driver, but as far as "fun" cars? EV's aren't my jam for exactly the reason they're so perfect as daily drivers: no drama! :)
The C8 makes it up in volume, it's just hard to compete with for anyone. The 4C is a tiny little car and they invested a bunch in the tub and that's about it. Emira is a better balance, but also there's no perfection out there. The inevitable triangle of life: price, performance, styling. Pick...
