Isn’t the current European emissions requirement stricter than the current CARB standard?
If the above is true, why would Lotus need to alter the engine performance to meet CARB when they have already met the Euro standard?
I‘m probably taking a simplistic view of a complicated issue.😳
Maybe...
The driving season in St Louis is around the corner.
My Evora is for sale on consignment at my Lotus dealer in preparation for my Emira.
I have a 2023 GT4 that keeps me happy, but if the Emira release goes beyond mid March I’ll be really annoyed - just like all of us that are waiting.
Right on.
I had red calipers on my Chrome Orange Evora and it worked.
When I did my Emira build there was just to much risk going bold on the interior choice - for me.
I like the Aerie lines on the front splitter and rocker panels/side skirts.
Definitely has an OEM look.
I‘ll order the front splitter and side air vents when available, gotta think about the lower side skirts.
I thought the same thing a few days ago about the de-tuning idea and KitKat put an end to that scenario.
I was told by my SA the delay is solely due to the Lotus paperwork not making it through the que and that other applications are still ahead of Lotus.
Hard to know what to believe at this...
Is there any possibility Lotus will de-tune the V6 to pass CARB?
I’m not sure if dropping some power would get better CARB numbers.😳
If that happens, I’d have to think hard about accepting the Emira or keeping my 2018 Evora.
I wonder if there is any value for someone to Dyno their Emira once released from impound to get real numbers on engine performance.
Why does “it is what it is” keep resonating in my brain.😳
Unfortunately, I don’t have any pics.
But, I personally saw (2) Hethel Yellow Emira’s at my dealership over the weekend.
The “yellow“ calipers match the wheel center cap, not the body color.
Tnankfully, my Hethel Yellow Emira has black calipers.
I have a Hethel Yellow V6 FE 1.0 on order and will be having the Milltek exhaust with Cat delete pipe fitted by my Lotus dealer in the U.S. when the car arrives.
Any installation feedback/tips would be greatly appreciated.
