Morning pick up at the factory today, 5 May 2023
Awesome day from the breakfast to the factory tour. Mostly i4s currently in production and 80% of colours are either Seneca Blue (including all 6 of the other factory pick ups today) or Hethel Yellow, and including the oh so knowledgeable Scott -...
He's still in love and provides some great commentary in here...I love the cars he compares the Emira to too...it is just the perfect car for what I am looking for right now and I cant wait to collect ours on Friday.
I spotted him the other day just leaving Rusthall...nice to know he is local too...plenty of beautiful spots to drive around here and pubs for a meet up.
Hello there Jimblob...very pleased to e-meet you. We're supposed to be collecting ours from the factory next Friday. If you are local to TW then I think perhaps we should organise a meet up sometime. We are going be trying to put on some running in miles over the next few weeks before we head...
quote from today's pistonheads article:
The Emira’s fate is also not decided. Johnstone said that Lotus’s current plans were for it to have minimal overlap with the Type 135 that arrives in 2026, potentially being axed before the company reaches its 80th anniversary in 2028. Given the delays in...
they do seem to be very busy organising delivery and collection of cars...I have had multiple calls, texts and emails in last few days...now booked in to collect from factory on 5 May
I am not sure I agree. At the end of the future values is all personal speculation anyway. I think those that wanted the car have already ordered the car, hence not so much demand for the extras and speculators that have been trying to milk the early sales period. Reality is that if you look...
two carry on cases fit easily on the back shelf of the Emira with a little room for a squidgy bag in between (someone posted a photo or two of this on another thread)...and that's before you use the trunk
Yes, you are of course correct, but then I thought the Emira is also generally considered the same and I loved the content and thought the Emira fanati might do also, so the heading needed to reflect a proper link to the Emira forum
not so much a review as a very nice very short 4k vid of a Hethel yellow Emira in Scotland...and Ive just been planning my NC500 trip with my son too...
Hey Bilko...just out of interest how long was your checout email to delivery process...I got my email just over a week ago and not yet been notified of delivery date (am choosing factory collection which I know may delay matters)
Looks great...full car? dare I ask if the ppf has been folded around the edges of the panels or leaves them exposed? and how much was the treatment? Thanks...
On the Lambo forecourt courtesy of the wife (so don't blame me for the fact she focused just on the Emira rather than the context)... and I'm afraid it past me by far too quickly to get my phone out when I saw it the other day
Looks very classy...I have gone for just the lower black pack and red callipers but otherwise identical spec to yours...seriously tempted to remove the yellow logo by doing the same and keep the exterior mono/metallic plus just that little bit of sporty red flash.
Seneca blue in Tunbridge Wells...(doubt there is more than one yet)... but my wife and son met you a week or so ago on the Lamborghini forecourt taking photos of your pride and joy in appropriate company...is it anyone on here? sounded like you have been enjoying your experience. And then I...
I just ordered this in my checkout process...going to see how the ppf options pan out with 3rd party vendors for designs for stripes and decals before committing to that...and as you say seems entirely reasonable at up to 18 callouts in 3 years for a mobile detailer to come out and do the...
Job lot of checkout emails today it seems. Guess I can now confirm I am fully "in" and ordered up this evening with a visit to Hethel now in the plan. The McLaren will just have to wait. Besides myself with excitement, last minute decisions on the insurance and protection side now made, but...
could I kindly ask for your stopover recommendations...I plan to do the NC500 with my son and his F-type just as soon as I get the Emira (hopefully April, but not had checkout yet)
Jeez...that is the DBs...she now looks even more like a mini Ferrari with F1 type bodywork...very nice work. Dare I ask how much the full package set you back?...edited to say...no worries seen it now in an earlier answer...5k is not small change, but the effect is dramatic, and long lasting.
I ran a DB9 Volante for about 5 years...total cost of ownership was around £4k pa including depreciation, services, insurance the expensive and entirely unnecessary spark plug refresh and a more modern set of wheels. Very reliable, plush, stunningly beautiful and what a sound. Sorry I sold it now.
loving the B&W UK flag first edition badge under the gear knob...and how'd you manage to get the yellow stripe on your wheel...I didn't think that was available for us FE customers or was it just the manual spec FE customers who couldn't pick that option? Do enjoy I know there are LOTS of users...
Love that you're apologising for that garage...mine only has about 2 million more items in it, including the furniture of one of our kids first rental house, gym equipment, a table football, piles of logs, about a million spare bits of wood, logs for the fire, an old motorbike, a Mk 1 MX-5 on...
Great to finally see this photo...thanks KJD...now I just need to see three of the same bags put in vertically (of each less than 7kg of course)...and if anyone would like to try to squeeze in a slightly german shepherd and border collie (not at the same time as the bags of course) without...
