Had the car full ppf'd this past week using Xpel Ultimate Fusion (hydrophobic topcoat - like ceramic in the film) -- the car looks really really good! I also used this opportunity to change out the chrome Lotus lettering to the GRP supplied black letters. Nice!
I had the car in the air this weekend for an oil and filter change at 2100 miles -- there is an oil leak above the oil filter housing, which may be coming from either of the two lines above ---assuming these are oil cooler supply return lines? For warranty Lotus requires the car be brought to...
I have 2100 miles on the car and it's been a blast -- I've had the car in the air previously for the 3rd cat delete and valve controller and noted that the aluminum pan under the engine looked wet -- and that I had pwr steering fluid level at min. I decided to do an oil change today and figure...
Solid investment -- 2 aluminum 19" floor jacks and a pair of 12" Race Ramps --- the car was so solid up in the air and I felt safe for a change! I did block the two front wheels, but they never budged anyway. I did the @GRP 3rd cat delete and Miltek valve controller today. Amazingly, the...
Needs another coat, then it'll be done. This has to be one of the easiet "mods" you can do -- has some pop and costs practically nothing. Red nail polish and some acetone to wipe off excess.
Amazon link 173"-185" car cover is a good price (currently has a $20 off coupon and comes out to $106) and great quality soft material for indoor covering the Emira. I gave mine a try today and it fit perfectly...I did not attach any of the hooks to the car that the cover has pre-installed...
'24 V6 1,500 miles - While installing my GRP short shift device, I noticed the transmission housing had a lot of white residue or other substance on it. I see no evidence of leaks anywhere and can only venture a guess it may be residue from foam cannon car washes that may drip in? Any ideas?
$232 a piece, all aluminum (1/2 price) I'm already in love and ready to change some oil and delete 3rd cats in the near future :D
Also to note - never practice jacking up the car with the doors locked - holy hell is the car alarm loud AF! I wasn't even remotely thinking that was going to happen!
I feel like something is missing?
I received a "quick start guide", a small "service" ledger (nothing but a single page of service interval 10000 miles and then a bunch of fill in the blank sheets for service visits), an "infotainment manual", and a 'supplemental warranty sheet" with Lotus...
Hey all -- I just closed on this '24 Emira and will be taking delivery at the Lotus sponsored Cars and Coffee event in Morrisville, NC on 11/2. I've never seen the Lotus in person, don't know anyone with one, and I've certainly never driven one; I bought the car sight unseen, I'm super excited...
