Guys, I'm looking at a video of an emira owner in UK that is getting a bunch of things fixed and of the things is that water from front wind shield drips down and falls onto the fuse box n further below onto resistor packs...which will then get rusted.... lotus apparently has a rubber sheet...
My emira reads 180 to 185F but when I'm driving spiritually up the hill on a hot day the temp goes to 200° and the car goes into limp mode. I have not checked the coolant level but don't even know where to check it ...can someone comment as to how ?
My other cars coolant temperature hardly...
So, I just changed my oil at 950 miles n with car at 1010 miles and 3rd cat delete pipe n miltek valve ctrl installed, drove up the mountain, lake arrowhead. In so cal.... I did drive spirited....hitting redline a few times n hitting triple digits before corners, etc..

Hi , I'm thinking of changing the color of the valve cover to yellow...
What is the most ideal technique... paint ? Powder coat ? Anodized ??
If I take the valve cover off, I'd there a gasket I need to get, to replace the cover ?
And I'd probably have to sand down or polish the lettering...
What is the best way to paint the knob in red or black color?
Colored nail polish or ? N if I try to clean up the paint that gets out of the indented letters with ,say alcohol pad, etc...will it smear all over the textured surface of the knob ?!??

i got my emira from naples lotus.... paid for full... i wanted to get the car and register it myself here BUT they insisted that they have to do it; that lotus NA told em customers can not do it on their own....so, i sent in the full sales tax amount, about $8500 plus another $1500 for their...
Hi, my tire pressure readings are correct.... 31,35 ... but it's shows as low on the dash... but car computer says it's fine...
What gives? It did that n went off the first time.... this time, it's not going away.... how is this fixed ?

Hi, i like to keep the trunk/ engine cover open when I get home to help cool but noticed that rear lights are On , how long do they stay on for ? Hope it turns off eventually....

hi guys, so..., it appears that there is possibly 3 levels of exhaust noise level...i mean, on graphics, it changes from TOUR, to SPORT to TRACK modes....
but I really can't tell much difference .....may be it's more noticable from outside the car ?

just got the car in so. calif... i noticed that both head lights have water condensation in side... i have not washed the car yet..i did drive some 50 miles since getting the car...on dry cooler weather... has anyone else gotten this and where do we plug the outside so..... lmk, James R
hi, just got my emira.... i noticed that the Green Light ON light on dash is ALWAYS ON , regardless of whether the headlight or parking light is ON or OFF....is that normal ? if so, what is the utility of this light? does it go blink or out if some bulb is out ?!? it doesn't bother me much...
hi all, just got my hethel yellow emira dropped off yesterday and took it out for a short drive... the tpms was reading fine but on the way back, one of the tpms started to NOT read pressure and now i got yellow tire light ON....
also, the detente for reverse gear would not release and i can...
is it true that Lotus Corp is making all dealers register and collect the sales tax on cars sold ? a florida dealer is saying that I have to pay for the calif sales tax , before they will release the car to me, even though I paid cash for the whole car.... i always register my new out of state...
