I have to report that I also have this, seemingly since the last update and airbag / a-pillar service recall.
Car was driven daily, suddenly showing this error yesterday for the first time in nearly a year.
Solution was to wait a few minutes with the car locked.
I'm also pretty sure there is slightly less burble on the overrun in Track on the higher end on the rev range. Would also make sense because why would anyone need the artificial sound getting you closer to the db limit on track. Other than the higher idle rpm, there is not another "layer" of sound.
Got my software update(s) today! Two in fact, one for engine management and one for the in-board systems. AC back working for now, but I've been at that stage before.
Let's hope and see.
I was told that the limp mode issues should also be addresses by this update but it seems to be very hot...
My AC is also still dead. But I heard that its actually a software issue with the ECU. Engine throws some sort of error and the ECU disables the AC as a result of that. Not getting an engine warning light though.
Software update supposedly available ... soon. 🙄🫣
Hello fellow forum members,
unfortunately the timing for FOS was against me and my friends and we can't make it to the festival anymore.
Havent listed the tickets anywhere else yet as I thought I prefer to leave them in the Lotus family. ☺️
If anyone is interested in 5x weekend passes and 2x...
Thanks Roland! Have you used the AC for more than a couple hours since then if I may ask. Because that was done to mine as well and it has failed again (and again).
I can confirm that my AC is faulty as well. It failed before, dealer did a reset of some errors, AC worked for about an hour.
The car went back, gas and all hoses etc were checked (all good) and the reset brought the AC back for a couple hours.
Out of a sudden it started working again (for to...
It was only an iPhone app test (and definitely not accurate), but I managed to get a 4.5 sec (0-100km/h) on that on my first and only try. I am by no means a race car driver, but I thought thats not too far away.
What also should not be forgotten in the "performance debate": Lotus has a great...
Did anyone ever wonder if a 3.8 sec claim on the Evora GT430 was a true number? We're not really comparing apples with apples here as I don't know of any proper benchmarking on the GT430 Evoras (other than what myself and a few others did with their iphones).
I am absolutely not complaining...
Do the wipers go to the highest speed setting when immediately (literally the moment you start the engine) putting the wipers in the highest possible switch position?
I can also say that I really like the Goodyears on my Emira. Much better on everyday sporty driving than the CUP2s on my GT430. Night and day in the wet, much more confidence inspiring when you're not able to get heat into the CUP2s.
This is pretty harmless but a new one for me. Went away after restart.
(Parts of the cockpit interface went missing, UInwas slow to respond and somewhat "sluggish" at responding)
I can re-confirm that the wipers operate fine in auto / interval mode when kept on the highest interval speed and straight dipping the switch to the highest speed setting right after engine start (before the auto sensing kicks in for the first time). Still annoying, but a do-able workaround for...
I've been out of my car for nearly two months if I count the time it was sitting at the dealer when it arrived to wait for the power steering to be fixed. Has to go back in on Monday for the AC to be repaired. Hope it's going to be a quick one, want to go for a trip on Thursday (bank holiday in...
Can you hear it from the outside as well? Does it sound like metal bending? I had it on my car, it came from the floor panels underneath the car flexing when steering at stand still. Mostly happened when it was cold outside.
It was fixed by my dealer by adding some rivets to the floor panels.
I might not make it to FOS this year for the first time in several years and probably have a few full weekend tickets for sale (at face value for you guys ☺️✌️)
@TomAce Ha, okay... I didn't have access to any of that. Ebay was the best bet. And the MaxPower shop in Oberhausen, but most of the stuff was out of my league at that time.
You remember the guy from Duisburg with the super heavily tuned Civic EG6 (carbon hood, Integra engine swap, massive rims...
Awesome! I only had an EE8 for a few weeks as a loaner from a friend back then. Yes - Mohr was king! The sound is insane, bit too much for my liking today.
Did you do the intake hose mod? The intake noise of a CRX is something else. At least that's how I remember it, not sure how it would stack...
The first memory of a car other than my dads brown 280E Mercedes Benz (which he claimed was the fastest of the village 😂 ...) was a black Honda CRX ED9 I saw around the late 80s on a supermarket car park.
I honestly remember how I said to myself that I will own one of these super cool looking...
In Las Vegas for a conference at the moment, rocking my New Balances, fresh foam 1080s.
Sporty but with some ellegance and a Grand Tourer like comfort.
Perfect trade show floor shoe for a long day. 😅
Oh I also had my significant other do a short recording on the last rainy trip to Hamburg to document that it's possible.
I can't prove that the lever is on the auto position but if compared to the wiper position in the other video I posted before, it becomes clear.
What can be seen here is...
I know there is a separate thread but wanted to answer here to keep the context.
It definitely works but is really easy to mess up as there is no way to move the lever to fast or fastest without at least for a millisecond closing the switch contact of auto. Only way is starting the car in fast...

@Magma I am with you on this statement to be honest and said something similar in another post before. Based on this statistic it is really not looking good for reliability.
It makes me sad I have to say this because I am a huge fan of the brand and long term evangelist. But the fact that...
@schorsch Thanks for your detailed testing again, I haven't done as precise measurements but would say I can confirm the numbers from my (less precise, iphone app only) tests.
Regarding the fuel consumption, what would lower the range further at 250km/h would be the reality of braking down all...
@NeilS Sad to hear your experience is spoiled by the AC issue. But it's getting interesting now. Mine was working for several months and over 3500km. Out of a sudden it stopped.
@digilotus I don't think its a gas leak. My dealer was able to bring it back to life with an error code reset after...
So, talked to my dealer who emailed Hethel straightaway. Got a call a few hours later where the dealer was reading me the email reply on the phone:
"The wiper speed issue is not fixed yet but will be fixed with a hardware- and software change in the very near future."
Not sure what Komotec...
