All I did was ask and say how disappointed I was given the cost / wait (paint to sample added 9 months to an already long wait) and fact dealer didn’t touch it

I spoke to a Lotus dealer and max they are bidding for delivery miles cars is £71k now he said (ouch). So sounds like WBAC isn’t low balling too much at 1200 miles.

That £20k profit I mentioned was in 2017 so way before recent times.
As you say great for those of us that cancelled but want one at some point once issued ironed out as looking like a £10-15k saving after 12 months.

I finally earlier cancelled my Seneca blue that was due for Jan build and Feb delivery after my underwhelmed test drive a few weeks ago.
Final straw was with extra delays Lotus saying I couldn’t even switch tyres and if I wanted to switch back to original spec would be delayed to unknown date...
So had another drive yesterday in an already delivered car spent 2 hours with it. It needs to go back as has a few faults. Water ingress, trim issues and rattles.
The owner won’t be bothering with hassle of taking it back to get sorted and will be chopping it in as doesn’t meet his expectations...
I have had the exact same rubber trim issues on all past 3 lotus. Some better / worse than other but all had them to a degree.
