Thanks for answer. Yes, the common issues can be read by most cheap scanners. But there are some scanners (even for Lotus) that are able to read more than issues caused by engine (most scanners can), and I still cannot decide which is the best scanner to buy.

I like my car still, but it would be helpful to have an obd scanner that can read and delete all issues properly in first line (most issues seem to be caused by unstable electricity) . I searched all threads and it seems that all of you use different scanners, so I actually don't know which one...

I called the roadside assistance. They were friendly, but have no idea of Lotus. I thought I get help how to deal with the issue, but only thing they offered was to pick up my car and transport it to the garage... but to tell the truth, any other brand would do the same... Porsche, Ferrari...

Hi Thomas, thanks for your reply. That's probably correct that Leipzig is a perfect garage, but time is wasted and I just would like to drive my brandnew car... hopefully there will be no further problems...

Update: my Emira is now brought from the garage in Hamburg to Leipzig because Hamburg doesn't have capacity for repair... brandnew car cannot be repaired in the garage in HH (lack of time)...

Thanks for your comment. I hope lotus will find the problem on my car. Unfortunately the garage cannot do anything without involving Lotus/England. This takes time... I try to stay optimistic...
