    Lightest weight track wheels

I would argue the best way to measure this is is simple rotational inertia measurement of just the wheel. That would eliminate the huge amount of variability of the engine, drivetrain, and etc. But it would make decidedly worse youtube/marketing content.

Did lotus rob us on horsepower?

It's not. You can do the math and get real values. For my S5 assuming 5 lbs saved at the most beneficial point on the 19" wheels, it was equiv to 7.5 lbs of non-rotational weight. That was for a 2nd gear pull. First gear with higher rotational acceleration would be larger, third would be...

    Wheel Hanger Alignment Tool

I've come to dislike the ones that have knurled ends like this. Helps thread it in, but if you happen to be a little off they end up being a decently effective file on the inside of the wheel bolt hole.

DNA Tuning Stage 1 Obd Tune?

500 RPM higher redline at about 290 ft-lbs would do that. 290 is a little below the stock peak torque I think.

    New Emira Configurator!

Looks like the US site has some specs of the I4 FE vs the V6 base. Can compare features but no pricing and no hint of available options (can only configure the I4). Sort of looks like paint colors, alcantara, wheels, heated seats, KEF, drivers pack, black pack, and the stuff in the design pack...

    Emira and Quick Jack

Yeah, if the contact points don't move you put a lot of side/twisting load into the quickjack. The QJ manual specifically says to make sure that the two lifts are parallel to each other. The pockets you put the lift block into are only 5" wide, so you could make up at most 10" going from...

EPA Fuel Economy data / Road force

Probably been there for a while, but the EPA has the Emira in the spreadsheet of data they release : https://www.epa.gov/compliance-and-fuel-economy-data/data-cars-used-testing-fuel-economy I didn't know before today that they include info that allows you to calculate total drag vs speed...

    Emira Full Handbook

From the warranty booklet : “body panel, glass and trim adjustments may intermittently be required to prevent excessive water ingress, or noise and vibration and so should be considered as routine maintenance. “ LOL - apparently some water ingress is normal, it's only if it becomes excessive...

My wild Emira predictions, come shoot holes in it.

Any guesses on how large the overall market for North America Emira is going to be? I think there were about 2400 total Evora's in the US right? I know the look and more-daily friendly nature of the emira will grow that market some - but it's in a similar price point. 2x? larger? With...

    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

I'm Dec 2021, so Gator isn't the only dealer with a higher ratio. Water under the bridge, but reminds me of Louts USA's promise to me that it didn't matter which dealer I placed a deposit with. The cars would be built and delivered in the order that the deposit was registered with Lotus.

My wild Emira predictions, come shoot holes in it.

Sounds like FE2 is still happening? - Post monday saying he just got a FE2 allocation : https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/order-placed-post-your-—final—-spec-here.557/post-112323 Or have they already extended FE2 beyond the original numbers (aka FE3) ?

    KW Variant 5

Did KW make available shock dyno info for these vs the stock options (force vs velocity curves)? Would be interesting to see how different the Sport and Tour are numerically - the spring rates are only 9%/5% stiffer which I would think would be hard to notice for most. The main difference...

Seneca Blue Lotus Emira Photo Thread

Anyone that's seen Seneca Blue in person - can you compare it to Subaru's "Hyperblue" - or "neptune blue" on the Toyota 86? Is it Darker? Thanks.

Agree. There has been a dire lack of good (or any) news from Lotus all around.

    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

They can't sell the cars, maybe they will rent them out on Turo to help defer costs. ;) Do we know anything about the extent of US/NA "First Edition" cars? They extended it once to "FE2" for the V6. With these delays for the V6 Auto and the I4/DCT - are they going to produce base V6 before...

    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

I was assured by Lotus USA that where I placed my deposit didn't matter, and that cars would be built/delivered according to the deposit order with Lotus UK. I had my doubts since I was pretty sure it would be done via allocation so I pushed back and was told the same. That's obviously not the...

    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Any chance the cars seen in the factory to date are for dealer demos? They may be gambling the current spec can be registered when EPA/CARB cert comes through with a relatively low number of cars vs the customer FE1/FE2 batch. Does Lotus USA buy the cars from Lotus and then sell to the...

    USA/Canada Delivery Thread

Your deposit was with the Dealer in Austin? I was told I was #70 when I put my deposit down in early Dec '21, and at the end of July I was told a few people had dropped off the list, but "not enough to affect your place very much." Your order was for a V6? I4? Seems maybe more people have...
