Welcome! There’s a few of us here, but as far as I know, we haven’t actually put some kind of gathering on the books.
Hit me up when you have to bring your car back. I’m most likely the physically closest to Galpin.
Yes. And, answer below.
The POC is 2 races, usually 2 non-race run groups. Full sessions of 20 minutes plus. Very similar to everyone else. It's club racing so everything is really meant set up to support the races. However, it means far less traffic in the point by and open passing groups. I...
I wish I had known about this. It's rare to see 15 cars and only 3 groups. It's usually 20+ cars in 4 groups. I am a new member of LCOSC but must not be paying attention in the places they talk about these things or I probably would of been all over it for this coming weekend for sure.
I...
I've run both of these (the later very, very poorly) but not in my Emira.
I've thought of taking mine to run in a blue group at a POC (Porsche Owner's Club if you are not familiar) in-between other runs. I usually only run a SPEC BSR Boxster but you will see a handful of other high horsepower...
I haven't see this since that first incident.
I haven't been using the Miltech (as some have reported here it could be related) and it's been in whatever the default position is.
When I did go in for break-in service Lotus Galpin claims the computer didn't show anything.
If you have a CEL...
I don't like this game as I think I played it in the wrong order. GT4 -> GT3 -> McClaren 600LT -> Emira and I am out of ideas I am happy with on where to go next. I guess technically we have the Ferrari's or the Lambos left to explore but I just ... don't like them.
*raises hand*
I am in Los Angeles and down for whatever. Also signed up for the LCOSC based on that offer (and will donate anyhow if accepted because that's cool)
Thank you.
These are cool, and I hope I was able to support you.
I just went to buy but with international shipping and the gift box, I would pay $82.00 USD.
I will have to sit on that and give over my sticker shock or wait for an option without a gift box so I can spend that money on...
I have been looking of a solution for the key myself and stumbled in here.
Do I understand that you have to order with the gift box, and they are not sold separately and this is the place...
Did the same route where I got this error. LA to LA Quinta and back again on the same day.
No issues. No limp mode. Similar ambient temps. It was a similar driving style, but maybe less aggressive
Do you have an OBD-II reader, and if so, can you plug it in? Since the same thing happened (no...
Milltech exhaust in position one the entire time. Nothing else.
Edit:
I was able to scan with the Veepeak Bluetooth scan tool. This is what came up. I have not researched this code here yet. I thought I would post straight away before the day gets busy. I am unsure if I am reading this right...
Received “Engine Reduction Acceleration” and was limited to 4000 RPM after a 2 1/2 hour drive at freeway speeds (65-80 MPH), but only after I got after the freeway.
No check engine light.
Got the car home in this limp mode (was only a few miles at that point).
Turned the car off to unload...
I don't know if I regret it because I don't have experience with Touring and Goodyear's. I hope to meet up with one of you one day and trade cars for a hot minute because I am pretty curious about this.
However, some parts of me don't want to know because I am pot-committed.
It will be extra challenging for "guys like us" to get used to it. I am many years removed from my GT4 ownership and am only a few days into my Emira ownership experience.
I will say this much: It's a great excuse to go out and practice my launches and heal-tow.
I did so for 50 miles this...
I optioned the heavy-duty axle and tow package and bought a matching trailer, but I am not within the legal or safe operating parameters without an integrated trailer brake controller which the Emira does not natively support.
😄
Of course, all the above is a gag.
I did find it a...
Be you in your Lotus. I didn't read anything that said Lotus was only for extroverts. I appreciated your story and different take.
You might feel the need to be less self-conscious about it. I might need to be more mindful that a guy with a great car might not be someone like me, happy to talk...
Have had my Emira FE for all of 4 days (and I haven't driven it today, [yet])
Day 1.
I brought the car straight home. I left it in the garage with the garage door open (not on purpose), so it was visible from the street. Aparently, some neighbors asked another neighbor what does [me] do, he...
Put fuel in it for the first time. The Emira sure makes the drive from Los Angeles to the Coachella Valley fun.
I am not sure what I was expecting for fuel economy, and embarrassingly, I never thought much about the size of the fuel tank.
If you exclude or amortize the cost of the car, the fun...
He said he would call me when they come in. I feel a little bit better after reading that you bought from them and they made good.
My sales guy was Arnold. Did the whole "unveil the car via the vault" gimmick? It was fun.
I took my one-day-old car (bought yesterday) out for a spirited drive today in the canyons for three hours.
It is a very engaging machine.
I am a regular Joe who likes cars. I don't know the correct terminology, so I might get this wrong when I say that a car has a "very linear power band,"...
How long ago did you get your car?
He said they were back-ordered and going out as the cars did.
I am not super vexed about this or anything. I really just came to figure out if they were really back-ordered (the answer is yes) and what people were doing in the meantime (thanks for that - be...
Mine either, so I came here looking for someone who was told the same thing.
I am a little annoyed. I thought it was shady of the dealer to tell me after we completed the sale, and I signed the paperwork with "nothing owed" instead of a due bill with the Lotus-branded charger that I paid for...
Hello and thank you for the welcome.
2016 Porsche GT4 (981)
I think this was the last year of the 981.
I can compare when I have more than test-drive miles on the Emira. But honestly, it will be even more subjective than a regular guy who likes cars type comparison, given that I have been...
Hello,
Thank you for providing this forum.
I am new here (I have been lurking for a bit) and to Lotus. The first car I lusted after was an Exige, then an Evora, but I could never bring myself around to do it.
Today ends my 10? +/- years of fence-sitting.
I was able to grab the V6 manual...
