Mine does the same. It sounds like it's coming from the driver's A Pillar. Also, I occasionally get a clicking sound coming from somewhere around the rear window seal. However, that one seems to go away when the interior warms up. I spoke with Lotus Detroit, and they are aware of both sounds and...
1. The longer ears so the paddles are easy to reach when not at the 3 and 9 o'clock position.
2. The tactile 'click' when engaging the paddles. This is a 110% upgrade from the benign response of the OEM paddles. Similar to GT4 in my opinion, and as they should be in a performance car.
3. The...
I finally got the paddles and had them installed. It was worth the wait and the money. Honestly, everyone should do this mod, it is like driving a different car altogether.
This is a nice write-up, thanks! Seeing them installed has me ready to wait for the Aerie paddles. The ones from GRP are just not a large enough upgrade in size for me. I want the tactile 'CLICK' and the longer ears on the paddle. Thanks again for the write-up...I am sure this will get lots of...
Great thanks!
These are 1/2" longer overall and 7/8" longer on the upper leg.
I gave Aerie until close of business to answer with an ETA. That said I will likely have to cancel the order via my CC since I cannot contact anyone directly. First-world problems, but a real PITA just the same.
I'll...
I've ordered from you guys in the past and was happy. What would you say the size difference is in the blades? Unfortunately, that was what was appealing about the Aerie version and the upgrade from the OEM size.
Has anyone ever been able to get these guys to respond to emails? I put an order in for paddle shifters about a week ago and have had zero correspondence since.
Thanks!
That's good to hear. I am looking forward to them showing up...however, it sound like I basically just have to wait, with no real clear idea of when they will ship. Their lack of communication is notoriously bad.
That's exactly how I look at it. I could wake up dead tomorrow after all. Not to mention life changes and you never know when those changes make selling the responsible decision. So drive it today!
They sit inside the wheel well a bit, which I may correct with a spacer. However, having them inside seems to make sense in winter driving conditions. SeaSucker ski rack should be here mid-next week. I'll post photos with ski on (queue James Bond theme music) soon!
Not necessarily done today, but I have;
3rd Cat Delete
MillTex Valve controller, paired to HimeLink
Lowered 19mm
Added Evora GT Rims and wrapped in Pirelli Sottozero winter tires
Window tint (sides and windshield)
