Power lead is under the rubber mat and down to the socket below - there is a handy hole in the top right that goes right through the console. The extra cable is tied up and taped to the surface above the USB port.
I've not stress checked the mount under serious load, but I think a combination...
I’m a bit sceptical about the 180mph top speed, having seen mine seeming run out of meaningful puff at 160mph (on a clear run in Germany). Doesn’t matter at all in the UK - and real world! Twisty roads at slightly illegal speeds are where the fun is for me.
Miltek fitted perfectly for me. I see little need for the valve controller though. Something to fail quite easily, plus I’d rather the valve is in sync with what the ÉCU expects from the drive modes.
Emissions and room for a "430 model" I would guess. What would happen if you plugged in an Evora ECU?!
Lotus are missing a trick not releasing a SW flash to unlock this. Basicially free money to them, not loosing it to a 3rd party. Could charge a premium and still offer a warranty. Come on Lotus!
I can confirm that I have replacement doors (August 2024) and they have a small drain hole right at the front of the door. Took me a while to spot it! Also 2 grommet holes with from grommets missing until now. See pics
Whilst replacing some undertray fixings for stainless, I noticed that I only had one rubber grommet in each door (front hole). Is this normal or should I have two, as per the service notes?
I was fortunate enough to chat with Gavin at Donington (Lotus was there supporting an early GT4 race) and he was pretty passionate about the level of development that went into choosing the Goodyear LTS tyres. I’m going to be sticking with them for sure. I bet PS4s would have been on the...
I constantly trawl Autotrader ogling at Porsche GT products but never feel tht close to pulling the trigger. Engineering excellence, definitely but there is so much more pleasure owning a relatively rare Lotus that has so many positive points. 911, Cayman, just so bands/clinical. I love the...
3rd cat delete is just a bent tube. I doubt there is such thing as “best” as long as it’s a straight swap fittment! I’m waiting for my Achilles to mend before fitting mine. So frustrating not being able to drive!
Is the EBC Red Stuff pad for the Evora the same fitment for the Emira? I can't see a Red Stuff option on the EBC site for Emira (but GRP sell them) DP3042C and DP3036C
Question: When a dealer does a SW update, is the OEM ECU involved and re-flashed, or is this SW stored elsewhere?
Or in other words, with the JUBU ECU, what happens when the dealer does a service and new SW is available?
I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on this upgrade but my head says to wait for warranty period to be over. Perhaps prices will soften as competitors crack the factory ECU to unlock similar performance. Maybe too much for a rise in rev limit (but it really needs it) and a "bit" more power...
2nd winter for me. Car is there for the using. I hate salted roads but it’s insignificant in the grand scheme of life. Some of the best drives are crisp winter days.
The only issue on the whole trip was a failure to fire up (no errors, but no display either!). Fixed with a quick battery disconnect. Pretty impressive luggage capacity. Average mpg of 29 isn’t too bad considering 156mph on the autobahn and driving through central London. Comfort on the long...
