I'd keep the 2k deposit with Lotus, if you are called in November and can drop them another 3k it may be worth doing. You'll likely have the advantage of seeing the car in different colours and test driving, plus reading press reviews of the car. IF the car is well received by the press then...

Agree on the roofline, I'm sticking with the very dark green so will not be adding the black roof pack, but if was going for any of the other 4 colours then I would absolutely add the black pack to give the car a lower look. I say 4 colours as nobody would be silly enough to go for the grey...

It's on par with the GTS (although predictably they'll test it against the GT4 no doubt as it'll have the same level of desirability). Lotus admit they have v6 at 400 so they have somewhere to go for the first 5 years of the v6 till it gets killed off. AMG for 10 years, so 360 for same reason...

Added the tracker in the end, it can't do any harm to any insurance quotes and may help if future resale is a thing. Had a tracker on the Ariel and I think I paid for a lifetime sub or something, oh well, I ticked the box.

I thought it was a spring, the show car wasn't spring loaded as I recall. It'll be quit annoying if it is spring loaded however, just make the clip stiff so it can hold position.... I'll get over it though.... work through the dark times of Emira ownership as it were.

After seeing the car today, I'm now in the i4 camp. It's such a nice looking car it's not a car I'd thrash about, so have no need for a manual and think neither 360 or 400 is particularly potent at 1400kg, it may look like a 120k car, but neither option gives it serious poke. As expected then. They show you a car with the correct wheels but incorrect ride height, but instead want you to decide on which engine only hearing the v6 and driving neither. Very strange.
