Silver wheels, manual V6, tan interior, black leather wheel, silver brake calipers, lower black pack, sports suspension with Goodyear's, no tracker or Homelink and no privacy glass.
Have bailed as well. Delivery was due October but got my deposit back. Anyone waiting for a Magma spec may be moving up the line. Now in possession of this baby...
Positive. Am also liking the tan interior shots I've seen so far. So just the silver wheels to worry about now. Until I see another maroon looking picture...
This is what Magma will look like, saw it with my own eyes. Anyone up for a small punt will be happy. What's the worst that can happen, don't like it, flip the car, make £10k and move on to the next configurator...
My wife wasn't keen on red either but have decided to ignore her, just this once, seeing as she won't really be able to see the outside color from inside.
I called Lotus last week after my third email arrived and thankfully had it confirmed I'm still due the car in August (current timing) not October. But no changes to my spec allowed. Email had been generated in error. Just thought it worth updating; suggest anyone who has been bumped back more...
I've also just had a second email saying my delivery (originally June) that got pushed back a couple of weeks ago to August completion has now become September completion with an October delivery/handover. The only good thing is that I can change my configuration once again if wanted until May...
Having taken the top picture, I've ordered Magma based on what I saw in front of Lotus Silverstone in direct sun. I'm keeping the faith that is what the red will look like!
For the
Got the exact same email. Annoyingly I had a June delivery, so in theory I could have slipped two months to August. However, I would rather have a perfect car, as specced. I'll just have to content myself with late summer driving.
See my previous 911...there was no orange peel at all, self healing film, however, you could see the outline of the wrap around badges etc as it was pre-cut to avoid any trimming issues.
I'd picked up that increase as well, made an earlier post. £50 is down to tracker cost going up to £550, no idea where the other £31 has been snaffled.
Whist the Michielns retail for more money they will invariably need replacing sooner, and does anyone actually know the cost of a new set of Goodyears since they are bespoke for Lotus. Most importantly, you'll lower the likelihood of sliding into a ditch in the wet with the Goodyears. P.S. Great...
I've noticed that the cost of my spec (unchanged on the configurator) has increased by £81 overnight. Where did that come from??
N. B. Worked out the tracker has jumped in cost by £50, not sure where the other £31 crept in...
Just pointing out that more offbeat combinations reduce the pool of potential buyers, not that red/yellow was wrong per se. As I said, don't compromise (as long as you don't care about resale).
My opinion, the blue works nicely with the tan interior. Go for the spec you want; if you make compromises you'll regret it, like I've done in the past. The only issues around resale will relate to cars specced with extreme combos, like McDonald's 'clown combo' (yellow exterior with red interior).
My only worry now is the 'real' tone/colour of the silver wheels. I suggested to the Lotus team attending the Silverstone event that they needed some actual samples of the black gloss and silver wheels.
We have a black leather wheel or black Alcantara wheel. The Emira site here in the UK implies you can choose stitching for both options, albeit that isn't an option on the configurator at the moment.
