That's good news Jim, I initially started to think about the refund in the same way. Why wait for an FE14 for more money than a new/nearly new V6 Auto, especially with the reviews about the AMG gearbox and no solid info on delivery dates. Makes total sense. Congratulations(y)

It is sad that Lotus has behaved the way they have over these painful 2 1/2 yrs. As a long time Lotus owner, I really hoped they had changed, but I'm also not surprised. Such a wasted opportunity :(

One week on from sending an Email to Lotus CC to request the return of my deposit, and I' haven't had a reply even after asking for confirmation of the Email:(. I suppose I am going to have to try and get through by phone, not sure how hard that is these days 🤷‍♂️

Its lots of reasons to be honest, all well documented by others. Deliveries far later than expected, which in turn has meant that the prices have increased (Even though we were reassured that wouldn't happen). The increased prices have left me looking at alternatives (Mostly used Vehicles)...

Thanks for the reply. I had an early Evora as a courtesy car for 2 months which was IPS, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't a match for newer style double clutch cars. I've read that the IPS was much better from evora 400's onwards. I'll have to test drive one👍

Anyone else received an Email from Lotus regarding V6 FE's being available for immediate delivery? This along with phonecalls to people seem a bit desperate (I've never been on the V6 waiting list), and this is without the up and coming Aug price increase.

You'd think so, but with 42 cars on Autotrader, it makes you think that they are not as desirable as we had hoped. The economical climate is not helping for sure, but it's got me thinking, should I just hang on for a year and buy a 2nd hand I4. or lock one in now🤷‍♂️. Why are so many selling...

I's be ok with the Base spec plus a few options but that is realistically going to be £72,720 OTR with say £5k of Options, taking it to ££77,720 and that's if we don't see any further hikes. I may as well jump back to the I4FE:D 🙈
