Presumably if the car isn’t registered in Germany it could be shipped elsewhere in the Eu without taxes, if you can find someone eon here it could be a great deal as I can’t see these selling at list with such limited supply.
My dealer (Luxembourg)just wrote to me to ask when I wanted to test drive as they have received their demo vehicle. Unfortunately for me I’ve ruptured my achilles and can’t drive for several weeks! Still at least the cars are shipping finally!
Watching that video one disappointing thing for me was that the engine seems really slow to rev, it didn’t do anything for me. I’m spoilt as I’ve quite a few M cars but this sounded pretty dull aside from the exhaust, I’d trade that for a better intake sound and a more furious rev response. At...
My dealer (Luxembourg) just told first customer delivery is now September and he expects his dealer cars in July. No news on i4 (due to a strategic delay on pricing whatever that means) but he said that the factory would still have the possibility to deliver some i4 cars before the end of 2022...
Have you actually seen his Nurburgring videos? The guy really does drive these cars hard around Europe and the ring and videos it for our entertainment. You may not like his style but he’s doing something no one else dares to do, personally I think he’s actually important to car culture for...
I don’t know if you have but the exhaust mod is essential- I had 2.5 on my old m3 coupe and it sounded incredible. Then you have no excuse not to use the whole rev range 😎
That’s an amazing line up, I’m from Somerset originally, great to see the fanbase of these things is international. I used to do some early morning ‘runs’ when I was younger and more foolish in my z4m so a bunch of us would head out at 5am or earlier and basically hammer it around the...
Make it so Lotus! I guess the market here has been really crying out for this news - the dealers have hardly done a roaring trade on the old line up, finally they have a product to that is complete enough to compete with buyers that would normally be falling to Porsche, Merc etc. I expect the...
I will let you know, my guess is it will keep shifting like you say but hope springs eternal! Fuel isn’t as cheap as it used to be, but we are still the biggest petrol heads per capita in Europe I think :D
That’s what he told me on Monday, one for the showroom and one for demo drives (I said put me in first :)). Nimbus and magma v6 manuals. Could be an expensive day
Wow! Incredible fleet and cool as hell to put a bike on the roof of your lotus! Is that a seasucker mount? I use the same for my road bike, so handy for using across different cars, mind you my bike is a standard spec ribble, not world record standard!!
In the U.K. I tracked my bike as it’s a hell of a lot of fun and much cheaper on consumables than taking my car. Im in Europe now and the nearest proper tracks are formidable, it’s either the Nurburgring or Spa, neither of which am I keen to go around on two wheels. If I get brave I will take...
Congratulations all! I was chasing my dealer today for news. He’s getting the demo in for April so that will whet my appetite pending the i4 details. Seeing one is exciting but getting the keys is going to be a great day!
I ride a ducati Supersport 939. Picked it up last summer after a while off the bike, it’s a great machine, plenty quick enough for me and easier for longer trips than my old street triple. I decided to try a Ducati after borrowing my friends anniversary monster 1200s. The twin engine is...
It’s interesting that the gearbox has a major influence on the engine choice, I thought the sound was the biggest factor! No question that an amg engine will be special, personally I’ve done the 2 door coupe with a manual (2 x z4ms for 5 years as a daily). I’m happy to move on to the newer...
The euro price point started much higher for the v6 (95k). If it had been available for under 85k I’d have gone for it. I now nervously wait for the i4 price. I’m hoping this hits at a 80k euro point (OTR) as beyond that it is a tougher sell.
To be honest if it sounds good in the car I don’t care so much what the note of the exhaust is outside. Practical example gt4 my20 vs my16. Outside big difference inside not really. My c63 outside HOLY F&@K, inside rrrrumble (a lot of sound insulation on a MB!). Let’s wait and see, having driven...
I can’t see how it’s both a GT and a track car, the spec is obviously road biased. A track version may follow, but they need to do more than stick some sport cups on it 😂
I wanted the manual but the high cost of the v6 in Europe put me off (same as gt4). I drive a c63 (auto) and a 1987 e30 325i manual and ride a Ducati Supersport. I enjoy driving both, and obviously riding is another level of engagement but honestly for hard driving I prefer paddle shifts these...
These renders are great. I don’t think it’s possible to have a bad looking Emira 😎 for me the blue is more and more compelling, the green is just too dark. Nimbus may win me over but it’s a close run thing.
I put a deposit with the dealer, he’s expecting to take orders next month, as far as I know we wait to hear from them. With the v6 (my original order before pricing was released ) he sent me the link to the configurâtor and invited me in to finalise and process the next payment/finalisation.
I am still completely undecided on colour choice for my i4. The good news is that virtually every render I see looks good so if I take yellow out of the hat and just picked the spec at random is still be pleased with the result 😂
The second car on that list is one I’m mighty tempted to put an order in for, there has never been an m3 touring so the only one and last petrol powered edition has got to be special…but as special as my 6.3 amg estate?! Let’s see!
Hello everyone. I found this forum as I was looking for some more spec comparisons and the amazing renders on here. I have a deposit on an i4 Emira hoping to get it later this year, unfortunately the v6 price was a bit outlandish in Europe. I’m originally from the U.K. so I think the lotus is...
