Problem appears to be solved. I picked the car up from the dealer today (21 Mar 2025). Apparently several very large re-programming updates have been issued recently, one of which was issued by Lotus just last month. It took about 5-6 hours to complete all three module programs. The boxes...
I'll post an update after the programming is finished to see if that solves the problem. But I'd rather just disable the entire telematics system. pointless in the USA
update from my dealer....They were able to repeat the fault and scanned for codes. With the warning triangle displayed the car showed no faults...Huh?. Now They want to proceed with installing several of the latest software updates to see if that cures the issue. Fingers crossed.
My dealer tells me there are 4 software updates that need to be applied, one of which requires 3-4 hours of programing. They are hopeful its software, not hardware related...but the programming needs to be performed before any definitive analysis can be performed.
None of the recommended home remedies worked. Car went into the dealer yesterday to get this fixed once and for all. We'll see what they come back with as a solution.
I contacted Windshield Skin (Rock repleant covering with clear Optics). They'd like to do an Emria specific product but don't have a car to reference. Anyone in the San Francisco / Sacramento areas that can let them measure your Emira windshield?

The V6 Manual is the best sports car I've ever owned....I wouldn't even look twice at the i4. Not interested. And it appears the market feels similarly. 6-8 month wait for V6, and unsold i4's on dealer lots. But of course others milage might vary.
As and update...I put about 100 miles on the car today with Hawk Ceramic pads installed. Love it! 10X less dust than the OEM pads and the brake feel is SO MUCH better. Easy to modulate, not grabby, great feel and threshold breaking with max pedal (just short of ABS) was noticeably better. I...
I've run the hawk ceramic pads on all my cars. Love them. My personal observation only...but I haven't noticed any sort of increased disk wear. Just a lot less dust.
I have always loved Hawk Brake pads. I've raced them, run them on my street cars and think they make an excellent product. The OEM Ferodo DS2500 pads leave A LOT to be desired. They are grabby, the dust they produce is ridiculous, and their operating temp range make them ill suited for HPDE /...
The V6 Emira is the only Lotus product where the demand is exceeding supply. The i4's are sitting unsold on dealer showrooms and the electric offerings are all but dead. So Yea! Lotus is going to keep making the V6.
The Hawks are Identical to the OEM pad in all dimensions. In fact Hawk specifically states the pads are for AP Racing Caliper AP RACING CP7040D61 (Front) and AP RACING CP6600D55 (Rear).
Hawk Ceramic Pads are super low dust. I can confirm the rears fit and I'm waiting on the fronts to install. But they are specific sizes for the AP Racing Calipers that the Emira has, so I'm confident the fronts will also fit but I'll report back. Here are the Hawk Part #'s. 585's in the rear...
My travels had me in Pittsburgh with some on my hands. I decided to stop by the Lotus dealer in north Pittsburgh. Really nice showroom with several unsold i4’s on the floor. They didn’t have a V6 manual. Salesman said the V6 manual was about a six month wait. Interesting at the lack of...
I ordered mine from GRP a couple of months ago. Wheel was installed a few weeks ago. Swapped out my black Alcantara wheel for leather with red center stripe. Also removed the haptic buttons for the real push buttons. Very happy with the result. Looks OEM+
Both front and rear are AP Racing 4 piston calipers but they are slightly different sizes. Fronts take a AP Racing CP7040 compatible pad and the Rears take a AP Racing 6600 compatible pad
They F/R "can" fit the same pads with the fronts smaller. But the fronts can / should be able to accomodate a pad that's larger. 149 x 86 x 17mm front and 130 x 81 x 17mm Rear. This is what my research says...I've ordered a F/R set and will install to verify later this week.
I've ALWAYS liked hawk brake pads. And the dust on the OEM Emira pads is awful. After A LOT of reading spec sheets, finding out AP Racing Caliper numbers and double checking the size specs, I found both front and rear Hawk Ceramic pad sizes. I ordered a set and will install later this week...
