I took mine off autotrader yesterday, was on for over 2 months at 80k-i got 2 calls 😂
Good news I gave it back to Lotus in the end,my nightmare waiting for my car has come to an end.
I'll be back in a few years when they sort their act out.
Exactly this.
I've said to them,I'll be back in a few years when I hope you are a better set up,your internal communications have improved and your new relationship with the dealers has established better.
But for now,it's an absolute headache I can do without.
I'm looking at lesser cars just...
Mines up,for this reason:
When the car works,it's is phenomenal and I adore it,but when it goes wrong or when it goes in for a recall, that's when the real circus act from Lotus Customer service kicks in.
I have been without my car for Iver 3 weeks now, they still haven't worked on it.
Today is...
Trust me there's no shame here.
I'm pissed off with the company and happy to air it.
I love the brand,I love the car what I don't love is time wasters and people that can't organise a simple task
Yep,spoken dozens of times to HQ after the issue and they were the ones that set the date for pick up,weeks in advance, they knew it was happening.
Dealership rang Me up and said parts were in,they were the ones that made me aware that Lotus were changing the seatbelts and had asked.
They were...
Sure, first let me point out as I always have,I am a massive fan of the car, when trouble free,I love it.
It's the service and incompetence of Lotus that comes with it that grinds my gears and has driven me to this decision.
Lotus Rybrook Solihull have it,but they are not the problem, its HQ and...
Today I was told by Lotus that I cannot receive my car back from them until they get their seatbelt parts in stock.
For context, the breakdown issue I had at a petrol station was nearly 6 weeks ago,Lotus fooled around with collection, even sending a van,yes a VAN,to pick it up one time.
They...
I'll definitely have another one down the line,I think it will be best to let them iron out their new structure and minor issues with the car first before I reinvest into one .
I will not bash the car at all, when it works it is fantastic in every way.
It's just not been a good experience so...
Purely to do with the customer service experience and disconnected between hq and the network, they can't organise a p!$$up in a brewery, I won't go into details why.
Just had enough of not having the car and confidence in it.
When it works,it is fantastic.
When there's an issue,I just dread...
Well ,I see this topic has gone way off piste...
Back on said topic,my car is still in my garage having not been picked up and dropped off at a Lotus garage, almost a week later...
I did speak to a chap at The Solihull garage the other day who mentioned that early models are getting the seat...
By that logic,I shall change it to Lotto_Winner.
In fairness, mine didn't skip a beat on the NC500, it was a joy to drive and issue free.
I hope its the same for Switzerland next month...
I love this car,but a second occasion where I've been embarrassed and it's immobile.
This time a breakdown at a petrol court ( yes aware its supermarket but I had 20 miles left and it was super unleaded)..
Literally ran fine for an hour, stopped to get fuel, wouldn't start.
Electrics turned on...
I agree in part,I wouldn't know what I'd trade it in for,2500 miles in,doing another 2500 next month It's great.
The only temptation I've had is for an Exige.....
Especially this one parked next to me the other day:
I did make a video of the NC500 trip,but
1) its far too large
2) it has some naughty dash numbers on there....
In a separate note,it will be a different, unique colour altogether "soon"....
