Driving to collect our velar from the garage yesterday in the emira, 2 mechanics run out from the neighbouring MOT shop..."we were debating what is it. He reckoned a Ferrari and I said a McLaren" - hearty conversation ensued about the car, the engine, etc etc...suffice to say they were fans...
I am happy to report that my Nimbus paint (unprotected from day 1) still has yet to receive so much as a stone chip from about 3.5k miles of driving. I am happy with the condition of the paint.
I think the Emira is slightly the more raw car, but I prefer the 570s, which in turn I drove back to back with a 720s and over which it was definitely the better, more involving car for my taste. If you think the Emira is a superior driving experience to the 570s I am not going to disagree with...
It is less orange than the tan in my land rover velar, but more orange than some prefer...you really have to go and check the swabs in the dealer. it photographs very differently in different light conditions sometimes looking way over orange and other times a very natural leather look. I am...
two real world example...one when the callipers are cleaned, the other when they're not...tend to agree with karl20c in that the red does very much dull with a few hundred miles of driving, but I think the nimbus, tan, red callipers combination works well.
I went for the plug in version so the rear camera attaches to the side of the main unit. A separate camera on the rear glazing would give you a better field of view but I wanted the convenience while still getting near 360 coverage. Been impressed with the quality of the video images and I am...
You are not alone...others have reported the same. Mine seems to burble more, and more satisfyingly in track than sport. going on a very long drive tomorrow so might just have to test it again...and again ;-)
I can hear the difference at idle...it does go deeper than sport, and the burps on the overrun are more frequent and satisfying. I tend to drive mine around in track nearly all the time, unless it is particularly wet.
no...not the same as mine which I think another has commented is a slight play where the undertray meets the chassis which seems to be resolved by adding some more rivets.
Sorry to read these posts. I agree that the rants on here, as valid as they are, may not be representative of the total universe of experience. I have only had one or two very minor niggles with my car, have never had to take it back to the dealer. done 3,000 miles in it and enjoyed every one...
Just to update on my EMS amber light...I rang Caffyns who told me to put it on trickle charger for a day or two to see if it made a difference...it did...no more engine management light!
Thanks, I think we have the same issue...not linked to acceleration, braking or suspension, but usually slow speed manouevering. I will get ours checked out at the same time as our EMS warning light.
Guess this at least shows what a little fettling can do to the Emira...

The Danes have a standing joke with cars, instead of the usual buy one get one free of the supermarkets when it comes to car buying they say buy 3, get one!
Thank you!...We had to get to Glasgow on the first day, but went north up the A1(M) which has no traffic and very few roadworks/speed restrictions...it was a relatively joyful breeze. Cut across from Bradford up into the Yorkshire Dales to visit Malham Cove and then across to the M6 to meet our...
found a short black screw behind the seats when taking the luggage out about half way through our trip...no idea where it comes from but others have similarly reported finding a loose screw somewhere in their cabin...I am not alone.
The seats have had three different drivers in them and after...
