Hi Roland, just to let you know i am off work this week if you are free for a ride out. Mini in for service/mot on Monday and Emira to Lotus Silverstone for recall seat belts on Wednesday. Otherwise free.
It was great to meet you on Sunday. It would be great for forum members to have regular events and go for a drive out. SELOC did a fish and chip run a couple of weeks ago for example.
Hi Tom, just noticed I have tohavea signed form for tomorrow. Sorry to be a pain, but I have not got a printer so could you please bring a form tomorrow.
Thats great, i will keep an eye out for you. I think it will be amazing to actually speak to Forum members in person, give that we have been talking to each other on the Forum for quite a while waiting for our cars.
That's great, something to concentrate your mind on. Even though Lotus seemed to go out of their way to make the last 3 years and 2 months as painful and stressful as they could. Also, as a result, I considered cancelling many times, even as a Lotus enthusiast. But, having said that, when I...
I know what you mean @Leonard. I specced Sport/Cup 2's. The demo car was Touring/Goodyears. After having 2 Caterhams and an S2 Elise so was accustomed to stiffly set up cars. To me the Touring felt a bit soft. The first time i drove a Sports was my own car from the dealer to home. I have to say...
Yes, and from what i have been told by Porsche dealers, these deposit holders are dropping out and walking straight to their local Porsche dealer. So instead of Lotus thinking they are attracting Porsche customers. Those people who are use to very good service, see what Lotus are like, then go...
If that is the case. Then why do Porsche, Audi, Jaguar and Mazda manage to build in deposit order when I asked their policy. They were all shocked to here of the, seemingly, names out of a hat policy of Lotus.
In my view, at least, the fairest way for every deposit holder would have been to build in deposit order. Surely it can't be that difficult. In my case, all along i was told i was the first depositor, so as a long term Lorus enthusiast, i was excited to be privileged to be getting the first car...
I feel your pain and frustration @TomE. As you mentioned me, i took delivery of my car 17th December, but with the way Lotus treated me, aswell as others, as a very early depositor, i will never buy a new Lotus again. I would however buy a used Lotus as the dealer was fantastic with excellent...
Great pics. Just a quick question. How does the plastic cover on the right side of the battery come off? Also, when undoing both nuts, attaching charger connectors, then reattaching nuts, surely does that mean there is no distribution to power supply?
It was originally advertised for £400, but a month ago i noticed they had a sale on, so i got it for £360. Sorry, i do not know the current availability and prices for the covers.
Congratulations on getting your new Emira on Friday. I had a similar problem paying. The company name didn't match the account number. In the end, to convince the bank that it was genuine, i had the invoice email, confirmation of account number from LCC email and speaking to 3 LCC staff. Similar...
Yes, I got plenty of looks driving Emira on Saturday. I had the same with the Caterhams and S2 Elise. So got accustomed to it. Also being asked question at fuel stations
Hi, it took me a while to get out of the showroom because I was trying to get the seat in a position for me. The Ye Oldie guy with little hair spoiling the picture of the car is me im afraid. I chose the spec of my car as I liked the look of the Emira that toured the uk dealers, apart from the...
Thank you. You're not kidding its been a long time coming. Will post my thoughts when i have done a few more miles. Only done just over 100 from Silverstone so far, and will not be using it till next weekend.
