Maybe not possible yet. This car may not have the AMG engine installed. I never heard it ignited.
On the media static experience day, they are not allowed to take pictures through the air intake hole on the side.

Yea, it's pretty clear they brought the car in on a pallet and unloaded it using a pallet truck, which can be seen in the background. This thing might not even have the battery/motor system installed.

Obviously fake. No Emira of ours is going to have that cushy car cover.

Nope. If it’s not that fancy block camo cover I just can’t believe it. ;)

This demo car has battery and motor inside.

So it's a second show car. We know the first one, as seen at Goodwood and on the UK dealer tour, is now touring Europe and is RHD. Strange that they've built another show car (they're bespoke built and not cheap) rather than use one of the pre-production cars being built on the production line.

A shame we're still not going to hear the AMG engine.

From the complete lack of any reliable information in this regard, it gives me the sense that they are pretty far off on the i4. There has been no confirmed sighting of an actual i4 engine sitting in side an Emira, either as a static display or development mule. There is some mention in the Harry's Garage video about the i4's sound, but the driver's body language was noticeably nervous when he was talking about it.

There have been i4 engines in mules for development and testing for the last 18 months. Here's one in an "Evora-stein" mule, where you can see the engine is sitting lower than the V6 and has a different engine cover:

Dude, you must have X-ray vision. When I zoom into that picture, I see a gray blob. Are you allergic to Kryptonite by any chance?

This is what a V6 mule looks like - you can play spot the difference!

The V6 engine cover sits higher and says "LOTUS V6" on it. It's fairly easy to see this, so if you can't see it then it must be an i4. It's more about spotting the absence of V6 rather than the presence of i4, if that makes sense, as opposed to special powers :)

The i4 engine is designed to be lower than V6.

The supercharger on the V6 sits on top so overall it’s taller. The turbo for the i4 sits lower down.

I don't know... that rear window looks blacked out, having almost the same matte consistency as the nearby body panels, as opposed to the glossy roof.

Yes, I agree it should be lower, but this drawing is incomplete. There is a ton of stuff on the M139 that needs to be there but isn't shown in this illustration, including the integrated intercooler and catalytic converters. There is also the intake pipe for the turbo, which goes over the top of the engine to reach the turbo in the back. So the M139 wouldn't be quite this small, but definitely smaller/shorter than the V6.

I think it’s the lighting. You can see the lettering in the rear centre of the engine cover too, which is a characteristic of the i4 cover
