Hi all,
It's been a bit frantic with my new Hethel Yellow Emira. I went to the factory to collect it, did the lunch (yum), did the tour (again for me, first time for my wife as I went last year as it was the only way I could get a look at exterior and interior finishes prior to locking in my spec). Did the handover instructions and introduction to the car (very comprehensive) and then when I went to drive away the car threw an engine management light and so I couldnt drive it home. Sam (and Scott) were very apologetic and very helpful. I got to spank their demo Emira a bit for the 225 mile trip home to Dorset.
The car was then delivered once the issue had been resolved, so I got to experience the collection and delivery processes all for one low low price of ÂŁ195 hahaha.
Spec is Hethel with black pack, diamond cut wheels with red calipers, alcantara with yellow stitch and manual (the last bit being one of my main reasons for replacing my Porsche 991.2 with the Emira).
I've now had my go-to guy arrange PPF (total front end, sills, rear quarter panels and roof) and ceramic coat it, which looks brilliant and will stop the roof getting swirl marks! He also changed the bonnet badge and wheel badges from normal to the black and silver, which I think looks great. Big thanks for Tim Bomford at www.envycarcare.co.uk for all his hard work on the car, which I'm delighted with as usual - top man!
So far I'm absolutely delighted with the car, and it gets SO much attention as others have said. Never really experienced this with any of my 911s. I've covered 450 miles so far and I'm looking forward to opening it up and getting more of the rush that I got from the demo car on the way home from Hethel! At least I know what's coming
