I’m at the Le Mans Classic this week and for those interested will take some photos of this great event and any Lotus cars! 2024 I plan to take my Emira down and join the Lotus Owners club if they arrange a meet here. I also found this car which looked very Lotus Seven at the front but unsure ?? Plus a beautiful Mercedes.

I’d like to do this next year. Interested in how you did it (booked everything yourself or used one of the trip companies, etc.) No rush. Enjoy!

Sure thing can give you all the details. Classic is every 2 years. Main event every year but you don’t get the noise and smell of the older cars. You can camp or get a 2 star hotel like me ! Luxury bed and shower ! Back tomorrow night so will ping you some more details.

I think there is a Classic in '23 to celebrate the centenary and because the '21 meeting was cancelled (replaced by the '22).

Yes you’re absolutely right ! I’d better start broking my wife for next year. Regardless will share the company I use and any useful recommendations. Gorgeous day for it! Group C race was a highlight.

Hi @Pav . Here are the details for the Le Mans classic for 2023. The company I’ve used since 2005 is Just tickets who are based in Dover. Paul is my contact and he’s been excellent over the many years I’ve attended this great event. I’d recommend staying in the Premiere Classe hotel which is close to the University campus and 3 minutes from the tram. Parking is plentiful and secure, there are gates that shut after 9pm. As well as an entry ticket I’d suggest getting a grandstand ticket and Benoist 12 is an excellent spot as is the ACO grandstand opposite the pits. The tram is fantastic and it’s 10 minutes to the town from the hotel and is a fun place and has good bars and restaurants in the old town. The tram takes 30-35 minutes into or close to the circuit and it’s a 5-10 minute walk in. You can buy parking if you’d prefer to drive in. Costs I think are still modest and the hotel, 4 day grandstand/ entry is c £600 for single occupancy (there are twin beds etc if you’re sharing) the weekend plus travel. Hope that helps as a starting point ! I’d also be happy to help any members if there’s a potential Emira road trip for 23.

I've only been to regular Le Mans (back in about 2009) but the info you have shared here @richbrown looks hugely useful for anyone attending the classic, so many really useful tips.
