I have noticed some oil on the undertray right hand side, think it maybe powersteering fluid as the level has dropped slighty in the reservoir.
Any one else had a similar problem.

Thanks...looks like a trip to the dealer.
Definitely, in my case the fluid from the reservoir suddenly emptied after a tight parking, and the car started to make noises from the steering. Had to leave it at the dealer and wait one week for the replacement pump.
In your case, if it doesn't spill too much, I suggest take it to the dealer so they can assess and order the pump, keep an eye on the fluid, and replace it when new pump arrives; maybe you can try asking the dealer to order the pump inmediately. Lotus knows many pumps have been changed already, they have a defect from the manufacturer with the sealing gasket of the pump.

Just back from the dealer, sure enough its the pump, they have ordered one from UK.
You'd think since Its a known issue that they would keep a couple in stock.
All good, lets hope that's the last of the issues, still loving the car 😊

Same here, just make sure they degrease and clean the under tray properly after pump replacement.

Hi anyone who thinks they have a problem with the power steering pump I would have it checked out before your warranty runs out, I’ve had to have mine replaced and a few other issues sorted out under the safety recall.
This is what the dealer charged Lotus and probably also charged them for the courtesy car on top of this, This must be eating into their profit margins. Quality control my arse🙄
