Second service cost

Hi there,

About to take my car in for its second service and the dealer (Bristol) is quoting me £780 plus VAT.

The Lotus website indicates it should be £680 including VAT. https://www.lotuscars.com/en-GB/aftersales/fixed-price-service - now I now that the website isn't exactly kept up to date so was wondering what others have paid for their second services.

Yes it is, but the garage don’t appear to be in a rush!

Had my second service carried out yesterday at Silverstone. As always, excellent service from the dealership.

I paid £680 as they honoured the pre price increase price. I was told the new price for a 2nd year service is now £761 (if I recall correctly).

Yep, but that’s a problem for 2 years down the road

By that point, it’ll also be out of warranty so I’ll have a look around at independent Lotus specialists (although not sure they’ll be that much cheaper!).

Thankfully I have 3 local Lotus independents, all significantly cheaper than main dealership. Will see what their prices are for everything after the 1st service

That's a steep increase, I don't want to know how much the major/4 year service is.

I seem to recall it's about double the 2nd year service. Still not out of the way for a car of this type if you think what a Ferrari or Porsche would be.
