Should I update the software ?

I'm off on a road trip around Europe in mid-June. My car is a July '23 model, with no faults. Should I update the software in the car before I go, or after? I would usually go with the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach, but to counter that, I always update my phone & Mac within a few days of a release/patch coming out. I know I'd get newer SatNav maps (pity those are not separate), but what else would I gain?

After that you might risk it, the latest version I got seems to be working for me for now..

If there are no problems now I would leave it as it is.

Do you know what version software you are on now compared to the latest?
One update last year introduced the starting problem and then the one in January fixed it.

I don’t think you can find out your current software version. Mine is as it left the factory last July, so whatever software they had lying around then.

Sounds like you are pre the software that introduced the starting issue.
Although it should be fixed in the latest I would risk it for your trip.
Where are you going in Europe?
