Thank you McLaren, was a fun outing and the Emira handled it like a champ 😉

Great outing on the back roads near Oklahoma.

Appreciate being invited by McLaren Dallas to test out if the Emira could hang with the big boys, and in my opinion (and my wife confirmed in the passenger seat), the Lotus did NOT disappoint! It was the only stick shift, had less power but had great looks that didn’t struggle at all in the curves, and actually all the McLaren’s would break in front of me, and I would just downshift and take the turns at high speeds. Only had to break because I was getting too close to the McLaren 750s ahead of me.

A couple of owners had (still have) a Lotus and said they were (are) so fun to drive, especially with the handling. One actually was on the allocation list but did not get his car so he got his deposit back and got a McLaren.

When we had to turn around next to a bridge to line up for a photo, all of the other cars had to do a 3 point turn with the Lotus could make the turn easily in 1 swoop!

All in all, on the straightaways, the McLaren with its double clutch started pulling away as expected, but during the turns, the Lotus was a champ and I did NOT disappoint the group (as I think you would have been proud)😉.

Have a lot of respect for McLaren and it is a special car with amazing engineering, yet I fell more in love with my Emira after the rally as I could hang with the supercars!

I am NOT a professional driver so feel free to AMA.

PS. Thank you Lotus

Did a 1400 mile rally with 911GT3RSs, AudiR8V10s, Corvettes, BMWM4s andM5s, McLarens. Emira had no problem hanging with all of them. Car is freakin' awesome.
