I thought I’d get owners views of using track tyres or otherwise known as road legal slicks all year round.
I’m in the UK in the South where it’s rarely freezing and even if it is I can drive another car. Personally I’ve always tended to go for tyres such as the Cup 2, Cup 2 R, Toyo R888R and Nakang AR1.
I’d be interested to know what you guys in the US use during the winter, or do you just not drive the Emira?
I this seemed a good video on comparing the Cup 2 to the 4S:

I guess what you’re calling road legal slicks are really just known as high performance summer tires here in the us.

Lots of people swap to winter or all year tires during winter.

My Emiras has the Goodyears so I’m just sticking to that.

I have the same tyres Stephen and have found them fine in the wet because I have driven to the road conditions. My issue is swapping to the lightweight Aerie V2 wheels and needing to decide on a tyre. I picked the Cup 2 Connect so only time will tell if I end up in a ditch.
