I bought mine from Lotus of Orlando, but Lotus of Jacksonville should be fine too. It’s a small dealership, but they’ve been around for many years. Back in 2021, they were selling Emira at MSRP.
I ordered it because (to me) it had a more premium look and feel compared to the leather steering wheel. I also never had a full alcantara steering before, so it was a good change. It still looks and feels new and I haven’t done anything special to it. No regrets.
My Evora GT does not burble at all. Every now and then the exhaust will do a loud bang when decelerating and downshifting, which is fun, but no burbles.
I also went through the same stupid thing. Ended up using a BBQ tong to grab the panel that was barely visible. FYI, removing the undertray will not give you access to that area.
I learned from a previous mistake and prevented the regret by not selling/trading the Evora GT. I really really like my Emira, but the Evora is wilder and a more serious sports car. I would have regretted the decision. Your Elise is on another level of wild. Keep it if you can until after you...
Off-topic, but you could put a towel on the trunk and run the trickle charger cable through the slot below the rear window. That’s what I have been doing.
