With the v6 manual production temporarily suspended in favor of auto production perhaps Lotus is shipping i4 autos (the only variant currently offered on their US website) as dealer owned demo cars. It must be challenging for dealers to sell customers on the i4 if they can’t even test drive one...
What does a 400 hp i4 mean for future base price? Does it cannibalize sales from the v6 auto? Does it supplant the v6 altogether?
Anyone care to read the tea leaves and respond I would be keen to hear your take.
It seems likely the v6 base will be available in the US: strong demand at the dealership from those who missed the FE window. However i don’t expect the base configurator to go live with al a cart pricing until all the v6 FE’s are sold.

I have a v6 manual deposit with a projected build date of June ‘24 which according to my salesperson is supposed to be the final month of FE v6 manual production. So July ‘24 starts auto production would make sense.
