The fob part was cheaper than this from my local dealer (Oakmere) £96.86 and they are off the shelf virgin fobs. Its the internal key blade thats the expensive bit and takes weeks to come from China! See below:-

Me too, AO plate from Auto100, Was 4 months old and had 1900 miles on it. 1 Key and 1 fob for Scorpion tracker not activated. I think mine was a press car, as I have since seen it on Youtube being reviewed.

As this is potentially a safety related issue and you have roadside assistance with your Manufacturer warranty, I would give them a call and say that you are concerned about driving the car due to safety. Roadside assist should send someone out to check it and if they deem it 'not safe' to drive...

Shmee's car had Michelins, not Goodyears, so I don't think that's his. He is also a lot more particular about the condition of his cars from what I have seen. As far as I know, the winner of his car opted for a cash alternative and his car went to a used car dealership for sale, not back to Lotus.

Unless you drive a shitbox and/or dont give a crap about your car, then automatic car wash should be out of the question!

Always worth a shot. Its unlikely you will ever need it to be honest. Only if the battery goes flat and you need to gain access to the car manually (and if you have also lost your primary key) will you be up the creek.

They must have some sort of contract with Lotus as they seem to have been buying loads of pre reg'd cars from them with extremely low mileages. They somewhat seemed to have set the bench mark in the used prices (particularly the I4) in my opinion, they had so many of them compared to anyone...

You didn't by any chance purchase your Emira from Auto100.co.uk did you? They are purchasing a lot of nearly new Emiras. I got mine there and was told the same story as you, only they gave me two keys initially but one was for someone elses Emira. Make sure you also get the replacement key blade...
