The Euro 7 emissions standard is currently due to come into force in 2026 and car manufacturers selling cars in Europe will be required to meet this new standard - which will no doubt be stricter than Euro 6. Anyone know if the V6 lotus spec engine will comply with Euro 7? If not then Lotus will...
Exactly the same for me. I collected my Emira from Hethel July 23 and have driven it in epic wet weather a few times, though its normally parked under a car port at home. Mine is PPFd so while I use a jet wash its set to low power to avoid lifting the PPF at exposed edges. So far, after 19...
That’s an interesting question but I suspect the reality is that once there is water penetration into the GRP composite, CO2 generation and paint bubble formation will continue for many years unless preventative steps are taken. This is likely the reason the approved warranty fix is a completely...
Essentially yes that’s correct. If the polyester resin is pure (free of acidic impurities) then the presence of water and lack of effective door sealing would be less problematic (I.e. paint blisters would be less likely to form).

The resistor pack issue is a well known problem (water ingress leading to failure) and sooner or later will affect all Emiras produced before measures taken to rectify (improved water shielding). Lotus fully aware and should be a recall. Currently down to owners to catch AC problems and raise...
I’m curious as from the photo there is clearly much more heat generated by the front brakes which suggests a standard set up for heavy breaking in a straight line (with significant forward weight transfer) - ie a fair amount of front brake bias (not to mention stronger front brakes with larger...
It would be interesting to know how many of those with paint blistering issues routinely leave their Emira parked outside so it regularly gets wet? I park mine undercover (carport) and no issues with blistering so far after 14 months of ownership. I’m wondering if just a matter of time/water...
Over the first year of ownership I have had lots of thumbs up, admirers taking photos and “nice car” comments. One that stands out was when I returned home one evening and the girl across the road and her friend were playing on their bikes. After I parked up they cycled over and said “we like...
