I would argue the best way to measure this is is simple rotational inertia measurement of just the wheel. That would eliminate the huge amount of variability of the engine, drivetrain, and etc. But it would make decidedly worse youtube/marketing content.
It's not. You can do the math and get real values. For my S5 assuming 5 lbs saved at the most beneficial point on the 19" wheels, it was equiv to 7.5 lbs of non-rotational weight. That was for a 2nd gear pull. First gear with higher rotational acceleration would be larger, third would be...
I've come to dislike the ones that have knurled ends like this. Helps thread it in, but if you happen to be a little off they end up being a decently effective file on the inside of the wheel bolt hole.
Looks like the US site has some specs of the I4 FE vs the V6 base. Can compare features but no pricing and no hint of available options (can only configure the I4).
Sort of looks like paint colors, alcantara, wheels, heated seats, KEF, drivers pack, black pack, and the stuff in the design pack...
Yeah, if the contact points don't move you put a lot of side/twisting load into the quickjack. The QJ manual specifically says to make sure that the two lifts are parallel to each other.
The pockets you put the lift block into are only 5" wide, so you could make up at most 10" going from...
Probably been there for a while, but the EPA has the Emira in the spreadsheet of data they release :
https://www.epa.gov/compliance-and-fuel-economy-data/data-cars-used-testing-fuel-economy
I didn't know before today that they include info that allows you to calculate total drag vs speed...
From the warranty booklet : “body panel, glass and trim adjustments may intermittently be required to prevent excessive water ingress, or noise and vibration and so should be considered as routine maintenance. “
LOL - apparently some water ingress is normal, it's only if it becomes excessive...
Any guesses on how large the overall market for North America Emira is going to be? I think there were about 2400 total Evora's in the US right? I know the look and more-daily friendly nature of the emira will grow that market some - but it's in a similar price point. 2x? larger?
With...
I'm Dec 2021, so Gator isn't the only dealer with a higher ratio. Water under the bridge, but reminds me of Louts USA's promise to me that it didn't matter which dealer I placed a deposit with. The cars would be built and delivered in the order that the deposit was registered with Lotus.
Sounds like FE2 is still happening? - Post monday saying he just got a FE2 allocation : https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/order-placed-post-your-—final—-spec-here.557/post-112323
Or have they already extended FE2 beyond the original numbers (aka FE3) ?
