Isotype Green in the Flesh

I believe just the paint. the badges on my '25 zinc grey are optioned in black as well
chapman gets a chapman edition side badge were the FE or base badge goes. it also gets a 1 of 60 dash badge

Love this shade. Wish they didn't do the full black pack tho. I had a Miura this color. (Before anyone thinks this is flex, this was 30 years ago when you could buy a Miura for nothing.)

I hear the Miura drives like a truck, but when I win the lottery, I'm getting one anyhow. #1 most beautiful car ever. 246 Dino #2, Jaguar XKE Roadster #3. Emira possibly #4.

I ordered in October '24, and my car was on the last boat before Lotus paused US shipments. The bespoke option was not on the table in October, so I suspect that none of them will reach the US in the near future. I have a strong feeling that Lotus should be yellow, but this color ain't bad either.

The reactions to your mention of the Miura caused me to look it up. I'd never heard of it before. Quite the revolutionary car when introduced in 1966 and considered by some to be the "first supercar". Nice styling...however I see a more recent 2024 Miura auction ending for US$4.9 million, so a very expensive collector's item now. We're fortunate there are so many great vehicles for us to admire and dream about...and even more fortunate we can buy an Emira with its "supercar styling" for a fraction of a supercar price.

There was a '05 Exige/Elise in that color, right? Was it Krypton Green? Back then you always had to pay a premium for those cars used.

Not my cup of tea or banana yellow, workman orange and bronchitis green, I prefer red maybe dark verdant or the blue but each to their own taste beauty as they say is in the eye of the beholder 😍

Yep. Verde Ithaca was an $8100 premium on the Evora GT. 💚

Some Lotus trivia going way back....

If I recall correctly (I got chummy with a few of the senior sales guys at Lotus USA), I think Lotus didn't actually call the color "Ithaca Verde" given it was "someone else's" proprietary color? However, it was in fact the identical paint mix, but Lotus called it something else. It would likely be on the window sticker if you have it. Or maybe they got over it? BTW, I'm referring to when this color was originally rolled out with the Evora 400.

It's a Lamborghini color. Same as a couple others they painted with the bespoke program. My window sticker does say Verde Ithaca, but the brochure says Verde Pearl. I've also seen "Ithica" spelled with an I instead.

Yup, that's the bogus color name that was used back in the day. what's interesting is it looks like in marketing materials (like brochures), they made sure to stay away from the Lambo name (litigation risk I'm assuming and what was implied in my previous convos back in the day), yet at delivery someone somewhere decided "fuggit", let's roll with the real name. Either way, the color is incredible and the pics in no way represent how unique and brilliant this color really is.

Yeah

Lotus has used 3 greens that are similar from my limited research. They had isotope, krypton, and verde. It seems they vary in metallic but in general isotope is the yellowest green and verde is the greenest green if that makes sense. Isotope and krypton are very similar Here's a pic I dug up from Lotustalk. Im pretty sure the krypton was on the right. Verde is the classic green Lambo color and probably my favorite of the bunch. Although If I could pick from the former Lotus palate I would choose Aubergine.

You have excellent taste. I would not disagree with that short list. I may be biased, however, being lucky enough to have both the Emira and E-type in my garage. Miura is my dream lottery car along with 250GT Lusso and SWB, not forgetting the 300SL Gullwing.

I actually just put my name on one of these isotope cars. Picking up Monday. Was close to pulling trigger on a similar spec white one when the isotope showed up. Not much difference in msrp so figured I’d go for it. Haven’t even seen in person yet… hope I like it :)
