Emira on order
A modified format for our regular monthly breakfast meeting, as this month our gathering falls during the period of national mourning for HM Queen Elizabeth II and the day before the State Funeral. Please can I ask participants to honour the Queen's passing by wearing a black top for this meeting. Lotus logos, Union Jacks and black and gold are all very welcome as part of that theme.

*****

Time for another Sunday breakfast gathering for some of the finest bacon rolls around. This is our regular third Sunday of the month event, a chance to gather with like-minded enthusiasts and a cross section of Lotus models. Everyone welcome - with or without Lotus car - and we look forward to attendees from EmiraForum, The Lotus Forums, SELOC, Lotus Drivers Club and Club Lotus.

An informal gathering with no particular runs in or out organised, just a chance to chat, look at cars and take in the view. Join from 9.00 when the café opens for bacon rolls. We'll probably be around until 10.00/10.30.

Yes we are, not far off the A3. Look forward to seeing you if your timing works out.

Great to meet you @GetawayDriving and hope you had a fantastic day at Goodwood Revival.

We had 20 cars for this event, unusually none of the older Esprits and Elans. Plenty of different Elises and Exiges from S1 to Final Edition.

Interesting too to have one of the dealers attending and sharing perspectives on Emira production and the changes taking place at Lotus.

Tom are you allowed to add anymore on the dealer production prospectives ?

Understand if you can’t 👍🏻

Confirmation of several of the things we've picked up from other sources. Parts being promised and then suppliers being impacted by their suppliers or by logistics. RHD cars more affected than LHD. UK demo cars being re-specified from what dealers originally ordered, to get around shortages. New info that there were some software issues affecting RHD cars too - to do with the displays I think.

Comms to the dealers seems to be increasing, with training materials and briefings on the handover process. There's a UK dealers video call coming up this week, so they'll have the latest info from that.

I suspect some dealers may only get one demo car initially, rather than a demo car and showroom car. Apparently test drive bookings won't open until all UK dealers have at least one demo car, rather than test drives starting piecemeal at whichever dealers happen to get cars first.

I see Lotus is going to re-vin the demo cars and sale it to all you guys first in line bitching about delayed production, oh Mr, your Emira seats are going to smell like arse! :ROFLMAO:

The demo cars will go into the Lotus Approved Used programme after 6 months or 7,000 miles. I wouldn’t touch one with a barge pole.
