WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR!!! PLEASE HELP

It's almost certainly the spacers. Whether they are not quite installed correctly, or they themselves are out of balance. The intake, exhaust, and lip are unlikely contributors. Only situation i can see it being the lip is if it is not affixed well and at those speeds it's 'fluttering'...

Removing factory seat and installing Tillet B10-tips and tricks

Aluminium ones are technically better of course. But the cost is much higher than the glass filled nylon and we have never had a problem in 24 years with the Nylon. Just do them up tight to 35 Nm, and they are only to space the seat and bracket, don't put the nylon under the bolt head. I have...

What did you do to your Emira today?

I'm thinking about these next as well. Do you have any full car pics of your lowered spaced setup? Also, I was told at a meet the GRP air filter actually enhances the exhaust sound. Do you think thats true after installing it?

    Spacers anybody?

There's only a risk of vibration with a non-hubcentric ring if you don't snug up the lug nuts progressively and hand twist the wheel to promote centering. Pretty straightforward process but it does require attention to get right.

Are rear Emira OEM wheels really ET54mm??

I got the follow information regards the OEM wheels: Front: 8.5x20 ET 57 Rear: 10.5x20 ET 54 is this correct? I was running 12mm spacers, so that means an effective ET45 on front and ET42 on rear. Spec’d new custom wheels based on the above, but new rears are poking out way more than they...

Ok to run GRP 12mm spacers just on the back?

Just looking for the stance but don't want to upset the apple cart. I figure the fronts already kick enough debris at the rear flanks as is but wouldn't mind having the rears further out. Now that Greg offers the silver version it would would look OEM with my silver wheels (almost ;)). Street...

Lowering question for GRP (and any others)

I don't think I phrased my question well enough. I'm curious if the oem system can be lowered without going to the aftermarket? I believe I read there's up to 10mm of adjustment there.

Anyone running spacers or aftermarket wheels?

We carry 6mm spacers, so right in the middle of the 5 and 7 you are after. Custom machining spacers wouldnt be very cost effective for us to do, sorry. The 6mm are made in volume batches by BOE to keep the costs as best as possible. Once we actually receive our car here we will be...

I'll look into it and see if one of our vendors has them available already. Fwiw we havent had an issue with our current titanium stud kits which are made here in the U.S.

    Aerie Ti Emira exhaust installation

LOL, @VL3X throwing out old Subaru fixes! The spacer mod is super simple. Literally just moves the O2 sensor outward so the tip is no longer in the flow. If you do a Google search for "O2 spacer" or "Subaru O2 spacer" a variety will come up. It's literally $5 worth of air tool parts that happen...

    Spacers anybody?

6-8mm would be about the max to leave some of the hub lip for the wheel to catch on when installing. We have the 6mm BOE spacers on our site that we have sold for years if interested.

...of mine this weekend. Another yellow car in the OC! Mods to come! I have lowering sleeves, valve controller, decat arriving soon! Also got custom wheels coming, but that will take time... I will be doing 12mm hubcentric spacers from GRP in the interim (new product, will be available in 2 weeks)

Free Lowering with factory setting VS. GRP lowering kit

Totally agree....isn't that the primary goal? Why use non hubcentric and be subservient to human error. Non hubcentric tend to cause vibration over time, usually at higher speeds at a higher percentage than hubcentric. By the way, road forces absolutely effect torque specs over a given...

    10mm hubcentric spacers

Twist the wheel back and forth as you snug the lug bolts up by hand. You should be able to repeatedly "un-bind" the bolts to allow more tightening by hand until they are almost fully seated. If you don't do this, you'll tighten the wheel slightly off center and cause the vibration.

My car is a China I4 Emira, other markets may, or may not be setup like this. Together with the 12mm spacers and the small drop, the car definitely sits nicer than...

Emira Lightweight Alloy Forged Wheels by Aerie Performance

Those are the equivalent of a 12mm and 15mm spacer respectively which is nice but not too aggressive especially if you plan on lowering. But none of the faces for those offsets in popular wheels are very concave, rears would be a little concave and fronts would be almost flat.

    Emira Turbo exhausts

Hey. The sport cat does throw fault code (P0420), which I am currently working on a fix for. That's the only code coming up and is pretty common when de-catting or changing to a sports cat. I'm hoping an O2 spacer will fix it, if not I'll work on other fixes. You should buy a code reader as your...

    Aerie Ti Emira exhaust installation

I have no idea what I'm talking about, but it could be feasible that the 3rd cat removal may be increasing the O2 flow (less resistance). Does the spacer lower the O2 flow on the sensor? If so, that's worth a try. How think of a spacer should I try ?
  37. B

    Aerie Ti Emira exhaust installation

I have not altered the cats between the o2 sensors. The third cat (after the Y-pipe) has been deleted but there's no o2 sensor down stream of that. I would very much like to know more about the spacers. That would be a great fix.
