I'm at 1k miles..... I've had car not start after it was unlocked 4x so far.... had to turn alarm on/lock the car....I sat it it....then unlocked...opened the door,then tried to start..... some times it starts, sometimes I had to repeat the cycle 3x bfr it would start..... annoying but never...

true, yes... i was just surprised that the oil came out almost golden , as new.... albeit , yah ,i can't see the detailed contaminants, etc but.... i thought it 'd be at least somewhat dirty....lol... james R

i usually change my new car oil at 1k miles .... i just did the emira at 950 miles and was quite surprised at how clean the oil was vs my other new cars i did in the past... anyway, it was simple to do at home and gave me piece of mind... the filter had no visible particles either.... i will...

ive used those before... i just worry that the threads sticks out a bit above the oil pan and that i may not get 'full drain'.... it's just easier to just take the drain plug out.... the oil empties quicker and more fully imo.... it does not save much time nor makes it any particularly easier...

it was off amazon..... M12x1.25 magnetic oil drain plug 7075 they come in different colors i think the 1.25 size is ideal for the emira sorry i couldn't just put a direct link...not too savvy on that stuff....

Hi , I'm thinking of changing the color of the valve cover to yellow... What is the most ideal technique... paint ? Powder coat ? Anodized ?? If I take the valve cover off, I'd there a gasket I need to get, to replace the cover ? And I'd probably have to sand down or polish the lettering...
