I'm not chasing numbers more than making a point that the automatic doesn't rev to 6,800 RPM or use 400 hp as they claim so it should be changed on their website. I'm tracking my Emira just like everything else I drive. Even my Dodge challenger
Maybe I bought the Challenger for the wrong reason...
I'm talking at the crank, just using the dyno information as a guide to show what is lost in horse power between 6,500 and 6,800 RPM
It takes about $1,500 to gain every 10 hp in this motor. Whether it's a tune at $6000 to gain 40 hp or an intake at $1,500 to gain 15. Even shedding 181.8 lbs will...
This is a dyno I'm using to show that Lotus is not accounting for their claimed 400 horse power because I am not able to shift past 6,500 RPM. If I was able to go to the originally claimed maximum 6,800 RPM then the motor would unleash another 15 to 20 minumum horsepower.
If this is true then...
If 18's barely rub is it possible to grind and adjust any parts?
It's almost like Lotus didn't want us to put 18's on with slicks in case our builds could compete with the GT4 with other upgrades for less money and still be a daily driver...thoughts???
Any chance you figured the parking brake situation out yet? If anyone has please let us know.
My goal is to use 18's all around with slicks, but if this parking brake situation isn't figured out, then it will be 19's in the back.
Does anyone have pictures of 18's in front and 19's in back or...
Never thought to ask that question since the wheels will be a custom size. It will be interesting to see what the weight difference will be compared to other wheels in the same size and width.
Depends on if you are running slicks or regular tires. If you call Greg from Greg’s race parts he can tell you because he knows both answers.
I will be using slicks so I have to find out myself. Did you pick what wheels you are tracking with yet?
You can not go smaller than 19 inch wheels in the front with RB and AP racing rotors.
Who makes a 2 piece floating iron (steel) front rotors that allow an 18 inch wheel to fit in the front?
I have 12 years track experience and 25 years karting experience and attend national karting events. Tires, wheels and brakes are the most important factors. Then aero and suspension. I already know other than the 25 horsepower gain I have now that I need to shave weight so Tillett seats will...
Someone mentioned these wheels on an older post, but they are very expensive, but very light.
Deciding on whether to get 18's in the front and 19's on the back. If someone figures out how to remove the parking brake then it would be 18's all around to choose from a wider selection of slicks. I...
It seems every vendors parts has some alignment issues, but after speaking with greg it all comes down to the installer to make it fit as best as they can because even some stock surrounds aren't perfectly aligned. We just never paid close attention
I hope you can join me for some track days this year. I have installed Gregs race parts titanium exhaust, 3rd cat delete & Eventuri cold air intake. Car has some weight loss & extra power now and sounds amazing. Tracked at New York safety track the day after I bought it, but kept it under 4K for...
I want that honeycomb design with red stitching. Is that an alcantara like material?
Will I be able to ask for a 2 or a 3 cm thickness because I will be driving as long as 5 hours to the track? What do you recommend?
And is it possible to put the lotus crest/ badge in the headrest? Embroidered...
Love those seat inserts!
Is that a special design in the headrest?
If I wanted my racing number there would they do so?
What did you ask for and what color red or is it the standard red that is offered?
Did you get the Race pro or club sport?
I will be driving mine from 3 to 5 hours depending on track I visit. Then I track it hard
so which Nitron 3 way do you recommend?
