Well I don’t even know how to begin.. I’m shattered by the situation, a Kia picanto decided to try and prove a point and decided to push me to the rails while on a bend, I braked hard and the car spun hard, the front end of the car hit the concrete wall and I luckily managed to avoid any other...
Here is my solution, also convenient for the winter as well, I usually start driving and after it gets warmer I remove it. Bought it off Etsy if I recall correctly
No, everything is stock, but you’re correct, the mechanic told me if it happens anytime soon it needs to be investigated where the excess oil is coming from. If it only happens once every 5 6 thousand km it’s ok.
There aren’t any in my country but the shop I go to now is amazing, they also work on the rest of the lotus’s here (3/4) as I’ve mentioned so their knowledge from the Exige & Elise was actually spot on regarding the issue.
So apparently there was oil on the MAF sensor in/near the supercharger...
In time for the holidays lit up like a Christmas tree lol damn, it has reduced power, the sound from the exhaust was way off, I reset the codes and it started normally but I parked it and took my folks RS6 perf luckily they’re abroad so I wasn’t stranded, will look into it here and I’ll take it...
Thanks a lot for the help really appreciated, I uploaded a video to YouTube of the readings, I got no clue what they mean to be honest.

I might go to a local shop that works on all other lotus’s (2 exige 430 cup and 1 Elise 250 cup, there are no more haha) to change the sensor and seal...
Hey, do you happen to remember what was the root cause of the P223D fault code or what it means ? In the search engine you’re the only one who got it/mentioned it , my first engine light in two years hope nothing serious (it did go away after a few hours)
Edit:
This is the O2 sensor voltage...
Yeah I figured, waiting to see your progress! I’ll definitely do this project down the line when I find some time, thanks for the info and sharing all your hard work
I’m so tempted to do it both, looks saw raw I love the idea! One question tho, can anything fall in those gaps ? And if so where does it lead to ? Maybe that’s why there is a mesh haha.
Amazing work btw!
A British car for a British dog haha that’s my Pembroke corgi. I usually take him with me but he sheds so much! Today I had to but does anyone have a good idea for some sort of protection against the hair, dirt etc ? Not something permanent but rather something nice I could put in when I do take...
Do you have the ESC off indicator on your dash ? I do when I turn mine off, which I do every so often (almost always in sport mode), and there is no intervention by the stability control by any means haha, so if that’s not the case it’s either you haven’t turned it off or there is an issue.
Mine...
Tuscany is amazing, I chose it for a reason but there’s nothing like home!
And I don’t enjoy the cars by myself that’s selfish, that’s my older brother haha (and that’s his Bronco Raptor, I’m enjoying it while he’s abroad).
No need for a trailer I don’t mind raking up miles, she ain’t a garage...
After a long journey my Emira is finally at my home! still waiting for insurance so can’t drive it just yet but might be today or in the upcoming days :)
To those who don’t know I had it for 1.5 years in my Tuscan home where I enjoyed it and did all the recalls before I exported it to Israel as...
Collection day is getting closer, really excited to have this car as my daily! My importer did a small photoshoot while it’s waiting for the license at the DMV.
The only Emira (3rd or 4th lotus ever) in Israel! people are going crazyyy over it!
May I ask where you got the Lotus stickers with the half British flag from ? They look really nice and subtle!
And do they happen to match the yellow calipers/logo ?
Btw amazing work on the car and in the forum!
My car is at the port, waiting for its shipment tomorrow to Israel from Italy to finally become my daily, really excited and a bit nervous as I really enjoyed the car abroad, hopefully there won’t be any issues as nearest dealer is a few hours flight haha either way luckily we got an amazing and...
